Part 3

You're not going to believe this. I got into mountain college!! They have one of the best art classes there and I can't wait! I really want Zed to be there with me so I'm praying he wins the football championship game tonight.

That night everyone in town was in the streets getting ready to send the football team off to the big game. Zed and I were standing together when we noticed the mountain college recruiter walking over to our parents "this is it, together, forever" he says and we walk over to them. "I'm a recruiter from mountain college and we need.." he starts before freezing and looking at the sky "you need to recruit me to mountain college?" Zed jokes. All of a sudden, the recruiter points to the sky terrified and runs off.

"It's a UFO!" Zed called out once we turned to the sky. Everyone runs around screaming but I stay where I am staring at the huge ship. It's an alien invasion! I can't believe this is actually happening. "I'm not sure if we should be standing here, or running for our lives," Zed says and he runs up to me "I can't decide, it's way too much" "either way I'm ticked they picked today for all of this to go down, take my hand I'll get you somewhere safe and we can figure this out" "you know I can handle myself, but yeah good idea," I say grabbing his hand "if it's the end at least I'm with you," he says before the ground beneath us crumbles. He jumps over to the safe side of the path then takes my hand again helping me over and we run behind a tree.

As we waited, we watched the football team and werewolves try to fight the aliens. By then everyone had come to stand with us. "Zombie out Zed!" my cousin says and he clutches Zed's leg, "let's settle this right here right now" Willa shouts "move our defences there, get down" Zed instructs. We all start walking toward the aliens as the Z-patrol surrounds them. Zed turns his Z-band off and walks closer to them "whoa, not yet, we don't know why they're here" I say taking his hand, dragging him back and turning his Z-band back online. "Take us to your leader, your cheerleader," one of them says while the other holds a flyer for Addison's cheer competition. "Hi," Addison says stepping forward. "We accept your invitation to the national cheer off" Addison then looks over to me excitedly and I smile "Z-patrol arrest them" dad orders and we all head off to the Z-patrol building. "Great idea separating the aliens Principal Lee" "I have my fair share with spacy teens" she jokes "they're probably here to clone me to create an unstoppable cheer force, I mean who wouldn't want more of me," Bucky says and I sigh "I highly doubt that Buck" "well they are uninvited and have to leave" mum decides "but we invited everyone to our cheer off to compete for the Seabrook cup" "Addison has a point, and hello they're aliens that's so cool!" I say but Bucky cuts in "you can't just give away my bling" "I don't intend on losing, and I've always believed that cheer could bring people together, maybe even worlds together" "or tear worlds apart! Mark my words, those aliens want what's ours" Bucky complains and then screams as one of the aliens had made his way to the room we were in. "Greetings, did you want me to continue waiting alone?" he asks and we look over at the adults "I think that's best, yes" "very well, shall I re-dawn your ceremonial jewellery and rewire your door handle?" "Yes, that would be dynamite" "may you find harmony," he says smiling and walks back to his cell. Everyone goes to get the aliens out of their cells and we meet in a hall. "We have decided to let you stay until after the cheer competition but not a day later," mum tells them, "thank you, mayor, we are excited to join your cheer competition" "what is cheer?" one of them asks "oh don't worry I'll show you later" Addison assures them "also what is competition" "it's when you challenge each other to prove your the best" Addison explains "oh no, we are harmonious people, we do not compete amongst ourselves, although that is an intriguing concept is it not". "Hi, I'm Zed, zombie, football star, generally well-liked," he says introducing himself, which reminds me that I haven't learnt the alien's names yet or told them mine. "Well, I'm A-lan, extraterrestrial" "haters say I'm a little extra too" he jokes and sticks out his hand for a handshake "oh competition," A-lan says grabbing his hand and zapping him. "Did I win?" he says excitedly and Zed moves behind me hugging me from the back "no, you did not win" he complains leaning his head on my shoulder. "Apologies, our people have a special stardust spark-" "-that some lesser species might find painful". Willa then growls at them confidently, "welcome to Seabrook".
