Chapter 22

It was time for the national cheer off, I was standing with my parents watching the show when Zoey came over to me telling me that Zed just got a call and that I should go find him, I thanked her and then left the stadium to go find him. Once I had found him he had already gotten off the phone "good news?" I asked and he turned around smiling "I just got accepted into mountain college!" he said happily. I run up to him to give him a hug but stop suddenly because I don't want to zap him and hurt him. "That's amazing! I knew you could do it" I say smiling, he holds out his arms for a hug "I can't, my powers" "it's okay I can take it" "that's great but no, once I figure out how to control it I'll never let you go" I laugh.

Suddenly the Z-patrol shows up outside the building and we look at each other confused "the aliens" we say at the same time and run backstage to warn them. "Stop, don't go out there," Zed says just as they were about to walk on stage "but we need to win the cheer cup, our future depends on it" "and winning tastes so good", "Z-patrol is looking for you, they're not going to let you compete," he tells them "but without our map, we will forever wander the galaxy without a home" "Addison will win it for you, trust me," I tell them and we all run off to safety.

We hide out in the crowd so that we can watch Seabrook cheer, and they win the Seabrook cup! Willa then comes out on stage and tells everyone that the aliens had been lying about why they were really here. Addison runs towards us with the cup and we all run outside to get to the ship, but the wolves use their moonstones to disable it.

Everyone was getting ready to fight when Addison shouted "enough!" "Yes, this is your fault to Addison, you let these aliens in and they lied to us, they betrayed us, you betrayed us. And Harper, I thought you were better." "you don't understand what's happening Willa" she ignores me and continues "you're either with us or-" "with them? But I am them, Willa. I may be from Seabrook but my grandma wasn't, I'm an alien!" she says holding the disk and transforming into an alien. "You did it! I knew you could" I say running to hug my sister, in the process my hood falls off, and everyone gasps "right... I'm an alien too, surprise" I say awkwardly. Addison and I then turn to our mother, "Mum, Grandma Angie was an alien" Addi tells her "but that's impossible, Missy tell them it's impossible" dad says from behind her "Dale I'm so sorry. I know, I've always known" "wait you knew!" I say eyes widened "you lied to us?" Addison asks, "my parents thought that hiding was the best way to protect me, and you girls, grandma always called you two her most precious things" Addison and I look at each other and I know we're thinking the same thing.

"No, the coordinates aren't here, that's not the map," A-spen says "that's because the map isn't a what, it's a who," my sister tells them "hold up, I'm a bit confused, it's one map, but how is it in both of us?" I ask, A-spen scans Addison and it comes back negative, then it's my turn and once they are done the scanner lights up green. "Harper's our map" "the coordinates are in her DNA!", "you're the scouts- your grandma's most precious thing" A-spen exclaims, "are we sure she put them in the right twin, I doubt it's supposed to be me," I say looking at Addison and then to my mother, "mum you knew her better than anyone, why would she pick me? I'm not a cheerleader like the rest of you" "I think that may be the reason she did choose you, Harper, ever since you we young you knew who you were and what you wanted, you had found your passion and didn't want to take on what the rest of the family did, you were your own person since you were born". "Yes we found the map!" Zed shouts picking my up and spinning me before I can stop him, ultimately he gets zapped again and immediately let go, "we will work on that later, but this is great, now you guys can record your coordinates and head back home and Harper and I are headed to mountain college together!" "I'm so happy you made it! I can't wait." "But the map to Utopia's dynamic, constantly computing new coordinates to guide our spaceship, it's not just some numbers" "and since Harper is the map, she needs to come with us". What.. okay she definitely chose the wrong twin, "no you cannot take Harper" I just stand there in silence, I don't want to leave, I can't. "Harper, these are our people, they need you," Addison says, "I'm gonna go with them, it would be nice if my sister could lead us to our new home" she continues. "Wait Addison you're leaving?" "I mean yeah, I found my people, I found who I was supposed to be" I just stared at her, "I can't think about this right now, I'm sorry," I say and I run off, tears starting to blur my eyes.
