Nikola's Pov

They couldn't be gone. It didn't seem real. There were too many kids killed. A little less than half of them were all from cabin seven. "Uhm, I know that we lost a lot of kids, and I know that none of us want to do this but, we need to. They deserve to go to Elysium, and they will." Charlie spoke from the stage. I looked up, startled. "I am going to ask one person from every cabin to come up. It might not be the counselor, keep that in mind."

My heart started pounding, I didn't want to be called up. " Katie, Demeter, Cabin Four, please come up." All eyes were on Katie as she walked up to the shrouds covered in a deep green. Once all of the deep green shrouds were lit, Katie walked down back to her cabin, with tears rolling down her cheeks. "Jalen, Ares, Cabin Five, please come up." We all watched as Jalen went up to lit the few shrouds covered in a deep blood red. They tried not to cry when they were walking back, but I know we all saw just how much she was trembling.

"Adleigh, Athena, Cabin Six, please come up." We all watched a trembling girl walk up to the two silver covered shrouds, she couldn't burn them though. "I- I can't." Adleigh said. "It's okay, you don't have to, Joanna, Athena, Cabin Six, please come up." Jo, very similar to her sister, was trembling. Once the silver shrouds were burned, Adleigh and Jo, both went back to their cabins group. "Nikola, Apollo, Cabin Seven, please come up."

I looked up, frozen in place. Bella nudged me, "Go." she whispered. Reluctantly, I walked up to the stage. Once I got to the first of four, bright yellow shrouds, I paused. "Lee.." I whispered. Once I lit the shroud, I walked to the second shroud, "Jordyn, no." I stopped, Jordyn was gone and I didn't even notice. After lighting Jordyns' shroud, I walked to the next. "Holden, no, no no no.." I couldn't move, Holden was my best friend, and now he's gone. Finally, I walked to the last shroud, "Aila, no no No!" Aila was gone, my sister, my full blood sister. "No!" I couldn't burn it, there was no way, she wasn't gone, she couldn't be.

"Hey, hey, look at me," Bella was talking to me, "I know that it's hard, believe me I do, but we need to put her to rest, okay?" I shook my head. "No... I can't, I can't burn her shroud." I was sobbing at this point, "I'll do it, don't worry." I nodded my head in thanks and whispered one last thing to her, my sister, Aila, "Bye, I love you so much, I'm gonna miss you.." I stepped back and let Bella burn her shroud. Once we walked back to the rest of our cabin, Charlie continued to call up campers to burn the shrouds. "Jake, Hephaestus, Cabin Nine, please come up." I saw Phoebe look up, at Jake, as he passed.

Jake walked to the three fire orangey-red shrouds, burning them slowly. "Kat, Aphrodite, Cabin Ten, please come up."Anyone with eyes could see that Kat was shaking bad. We all watched as Kat lit all of the few bright pink shrouds.

"Connor, Hermes, Cabin Eleven, please come up." We all watched, the usually happy, hyper and kind of a pain, Connor walk to the single light yellow shroud, Mason. He was the camp's pride and joy, everyone loved him, even Clarisse. No one should have died, but Mason was the one person who shouldn't have died, he was only nine. A kid, a sweet, innocent little kid, who didn't know who his dad was.

Suddenly, a bright blue light shone above his shroud. A son on poseidon. One who died too soon. Everyone looked over to cabin three. All of them were shocked, no one expected Mason to be Poseidon's kid, but then again, none of them expected to be Poseidon's kid. Honestly, I don't think any of them really wanted to be Poseidon's kid. "No!" Bee screamed, "No No No, no.." then Bee was sobbing and Maya was comforting her. Cal just stood there, stunned, Percy too. Amelia wasn't at camp this summer, she got lucky.

"Uhm," Charlie whispered. "Uhm, we need to uh, sorry I need a moment." While Charlie went to hug Percy, Connor lit Mason's shroud, "All hail Mason Smith, Son of Poseidon." Connor barely got out, before kneeling in front of the burning, light yellow shroud. The smoke that rose from Mason's shroud was as blue as the oceans, showing his godly parentage.

"Lastly, Pollux, Dionysus, Cabin Twelve, please come up." Before the battle, there were only three kids in cabin twelve, Castor and Pollux, who were twins, and Bea. Now, there were only two, Castor had died. Pollux was a mess, and yet, he held it together better than most would assume. He walked up to the deep purple shroud and lit it. He stood there for what felt like an hour, but what must have been only a minute. Then he fell to his knees, sobbing. Pollux finally broke. Bea ran up to pollux to comfort him, and together they walked back to their cabin.

Well then, uhhh yea....
