Janvi's Pov
"Janvi go get Bella, she should be in the Big House. Tell her the infirmary is too full and we need her help." Nick said, walking over to me. I nodded my head and put my sword up to leave. Once I got to the Big House I could hear people talking by the door. "You controlling the blood. It has to stop, it will kill you." A man said. I walked in and saw a guy in a Hawaiian shirt and cargo shorts. "Bella, Nick needs help in the infirmary, he told me to get you." I said, looking at my sister. "Ok, you stay with Charlie." Bella said, walking out. "Hey Vi." Charlie said, smiling at me. "Hi Charlie." I replied, looking between her and the man. "Oh right, this is our dad." Charlie said, pointing to Poseidon. "Oh, uh it's nice to meet you sir?" I said, looking at the god. "You don't need to be nice to him, he doesn't deserve it." Percy said, walking out of the Big House. "Yeah, ignore Percy, he's mad." Charlie said, following him out. "Charlotte, I'm not done speaking with you." Poseidon said, putting a hand on Charlie's shoulder.
"I know I need to stop but if it means saving this camp then so be it. I'll die if I have too." Charlie said, turning around and facing her dad. "It will consume you if you keep using it." He said, looking at his daughter. "Then let it, I don't care anymore." Charlie said before walking out. "You really need to stop, he's right. You could die." I said, walking next to Charlie. She stayed quiet and kept walking, into the woods. "Where are we going?" I asked, looking around. "I saw one of the new kids, Leo, walk through here. I want to make sure he doesn't get lost." She said, looking for Leo.
After walking another twenty minutes we were pretty far into the woods. "Are you lost?" I asked, looking up at Charlie, who looked a little pale. "No, I know where we are. Do you have any nectar or ambrosia on you?" Charlie asked, sitting on a three stump. "No, since Bella hasn't finished training me I'm not allowed to carry any, but I have water." I said, grabbing my bottle from my bag. "Thank you." Charlie said, grabbing it. "Why do you always have a bag with you?" She asked, looking up at me. "Nick wants me to always have one, just in case." I said, sitting next to her. "So he can be smart, good to know". She said, laughing. "Only sometimes, he's pretty stupid otherwise." I said, smiling. "We should keep looking, it's getting late and he might be lost." Charlie said, standing up. "Ok, just don't go too fast, you still look a little pale." I said, putting my bag back on.
"How do you know where he is?" I asked, there didn't seem to be a trace of him anywhere. "Have you taken Katie's tracking lesson activity?" Charlie asked, looking at me. "No, I probably should though." I said, looking around again. "Make sure you take it, Katie is a great teacher and you'll know how to find almost anything in the forest. If you look close enough there's scorch marks on some leaves in the shape of a footprint." Charlie said, pointing to one. "I've been following those, up till here at least." Charlie said, stopping at a cliff. "Wait, there's a door. Hold on, stay away from the edge, I'm going to knock on it." She said, grabbing onto a tree and walking down the side of the cliff. "You're going to hurt yourself, get back up here." I said, walking closer to the edge.
"I'll be ok, I'm like Spider-Man, just will less radioactive spiders and more water. And get away from the edge." She said, using water to keep her on the cliff edge. "Just be careful." I said, backing up. After Charlie knocked on the door she came back up from the side. "I told you I'd be ok, I always am." She said, waiting for someone to open the door. After waiting for a minute or so she went to knock on the door again. "Leo, I know you're in there!" She yelled, looking over the edge again. "If he doesn't answer, can we please go back? We might've missed dinner and Nick is going to kill me." I asked, sitting down. "Don't worry, I'll just say you were keeping me alive and he'll kill me." Charlie said, sitting next to me.
"Alright, let's just go." I said, standing up. "Wait, the doors opening." Charlie said, grabbing her necklace. "Why are you grabbing your sword?" I asked, standing next to her. "You never know what can come out of a cave Vi, besides I think I saw a hell hound looking at us from behind." Charlie said, looking at the cave again. Once the kid walked out and turned around, Charlie let out a sigh of relief. "Uh, who are you?" He asked, looking at Charlie. "Charlie, are you Leo?" She asked, putting her hand down. "Yeah, why?" He asked, looking between us. "We just wanted to make sure you didn't get lost, I'm Janvi by the way." I said, looking around us. "There's something over there." Charlie said, pushing me behind her.
"What?" Leo asked, moving up by her. "There's a monster over there tonto, stay behind me unless you're going to use that fire." Charlie said grabbing her necklace again. "What? What do you mean by fire?" Leo asked, moving away from Charlie. "I'm not an idiot Valdez. Either summon the fire or stand behind me." Charlie said, pulling the charm off the chain and flicking her wrist. "Fine." Leo said, holding his hands out and summoning the fire. "So about heading back to camp?" I asked, standing closer to Charlie. "We'll need to hurry. Vi stay between me and Leo, I'll be in the back." Charlie said, moving behind me. "What am I supposed to do?" Leo asked, turning around to look at Charlie. "If you know the way here, you know the way back. Use your fire as a light and if something jumps out at you scare it away. Don't set fire to anything, I don't think I'll be able to put it out." Charlie said, pushing him forward.
After 30 minutes we made it back to camp. "Leo, put the fire out." Charlie said, putting her sword away. "Oh right, thanks." He said, looking at his hands. "How did you know I can summon it?" He asked, looking at Charlie. "Scorch marks, look at your footprints. It's how we found you." Charlie said, walking to the pavilion. "Looks like we didn't miss dinner." Charlie said, walking over to the food and getting some. "I'll send Bella over to check on you, thanks for the forest." I said, walking over to my table.
"Where were you? Dinner started fifteen minutes ago Vi." Bella asked, moving over so I could sit down. "I was with Charlie, she can tell you. Could you also check on her later?" I asked, before eating my food. "Yeah, I'll head over there after dinner. I nodded my head and kept eating.
"Vi, you're going to be working in the infirmary tomorrow, with me." Nick said, taking a drink of his 7 up, with his pomegranate extract thing. I nodded my head and finished my food. "Is there going to be a fire tonight?" I asked, looking at Bella. "Yes, we're not going to be singing though." She said, looking around the table. "Oh thank god." I heard Lincoln whisper. We all laughed and started to clean up. "Nick, take everyone over to the fire, I need to check on Charlie." Bella said, walking over to cabin threes table. "Alright, let's go." Nick said, walking away.
