I'm struggling to figure out how to end the book...I'm about five chapters ahead right now but yeah...part of me wants to end this chapter now so that I can get started on the next book with the two of them as teammates and save some of my ideas for then...lemme know what you think? If I should just speedrun it to the end and get started on the next book, or if you still want me to follow the rest of this season closely?

Anyways...enjoy the long chapter! It's two chapters pushed together because both were kind of short and it ended up extra long! Please remember to vote and comment if you liked it!

I'm met with squealing as I walk into my suite where JC and Olivia have let themselves in and before I can even process the moment I'm being drowned in hugs. After the shock wears off, I also join in their jumping up and down and squealing in excitement.

"I can't believe you didn't tell me! Bitch!" JC exclaims pulling away and punching me lightly on the shoulder and I grin at her shrugging, although she knew full well that with a deal like this, next to no one would have known.

"And me! I'm the one that has to deal with it! My phone has not stopped ringing!" Olivia quickly complains, but I can tell from her wide smile that she's not bothered about it in the slightest. I shrug and shoot her an innocent look. "And all this work, to just find out you're leaving after a season! I knew it was likely but I'm still sad."

"About that..." I pause before I continue, and her eyes widen in excitement with the offer, she knows I'm about to extend. "I'd love it if you would come and join me at RB next season. It's all sorted if you want to make the move, although I know that you're comfortable at Williams."

"Screw comfortable! I absolutely am going with you!" I sigh in relief although I knew based on the friendship that we had built up that this was likely her response, it was still nice to hear.

"It will be more of a Personal Assistant / Press officer role if that's okay? With JC leaving, I'll need you with me all the time." I say hesitantly and she just nods her head fiercely.

"Like Britta and Seb?" She asks in clarification, and I nod.

"Exactly like that!" I respond and the two of them pull me over to the kitchen where JC pulls out some food to cook for me and I sit on the stool as I answer all their questions about how it happened and what it means. "I still can't believe that they took me. I know I've done well, but this is a serious fast track to the top." I say in amazement as I think about the coup, I seem to have performed in obtaining the RB seat.

"If anything, it's Christian that will be feeling like that," JC says from where she's stood at the stove. "He's just got a driver that Mercedes have basically handpicked, trained and paid for all the way up the ladder to sit in his team."

I cock my head to the side as I realise, I never thought about it from that angle before. I hum in thought as JC puts the plate of chicken and rice with greens in front of me and a knife and fork. "Oh, also Christian says we should try and pop by the garage and hospitality this weekend, so I can introduce you to the people you need to know," I say nudging Olivia who has been glued to her phone for the last 25 minutes, I realised that she really wasn't kidding when she said her phone had been blowing up as it seemed to almost constantly be vibrating with a string of notifications coming through. She just nods at me absentmindedly, keeping her attention focused on her phone causing JC and I to share a look as we continue chatting. "You should also come with me, just in case," I say cheekily to JC, and she smiles at me nodding. While I pull out my phone and respond to a few of the text messages I have received from different drivers, Lewis in particular has blown up my phone with half happy half angry messages at the news. Daniel is just an excitable puppy about the whole situation and seems genuinely ecstatic at the turn of events. George seemed really happy and genuinely relieved that he wasn't going to have to fight with me for the Mercedes seat, especially after the performance I had recently put in for Mercedes and the close bond everyone knew that Lewis and I shared, a lot of people had been suggesting that they should drop him and take me instead. Pierre because he's Alpha Tauri and a friend, this would solidify unfortunately that he probably wasn't going to be receiving the RB seat anytime soon, unless I messed up and Sebastian because he gave me a heads-up about his news and he knows how to be successful at RB so I thought he would like to know.
