When she saw the confusion on his face, Thea couldn’t help but laugh a bit at his expense. Sure, it was terribly embarrassing to laugh at a boy and into his face, but she just couldn’t help it. “No, no – you misunderstood me – I asked you a rhetorical question. I said ‘you’re just a hopeless romantic at heart, aren’t you?’. I didn’t mean that you were hopeless at romance at all.” She grinned as he added that he was hopeless at romance. If he was trying to be romantic and to woo her then he was doing a horrible job of it, she realized and giggled softly. She didn’t giggle too often, because she thought it was a bit too childish for a sixteen-year-old girl, but now she just couldn’t help it.

“Well, we’ll see if you’re hopeless or not, won’t we?” she teased him with a mischievous sparkle in her eyes. Then she realized what she just said and blushed a bit. It was as if she was welcoming his ‘romantic’ advances… okay, so she was welcoming it, but he didn’t need to know that yet. He didn’t even know her name yet! How pathetic was that?

When he suddenly paled at the mention of the word wolf, she cocked her head and wondered what that was about – it was strange how such a simple word brought such fright to the young man in front of her… but then again, she had a similar reaction to the word scarabs, so they were even. When he mentioned that he wanted to go to Egypt, she grinned and after a split second decision told him, sounding quite innocent (but she’s a Slytherin so she had an ulterior motive), “If you want I can ask my parents to take you with us the next time we go there and I’ll show you around the tombs.”

When he mentioned the seriousness of the curse of Hom Dai against Imhotep, she raised an eyebrow at him, “Oh, don’t worry – it was. He wasn’t only the lover of the pharaoh’s wife, but also murdered him when he found them together. That’s the main reason why he was subjected to the curse.”

And then she was subjected to a full panic attack, it seemed, when she told him she was insulted that he didn’t remember her name. It was for that reason that she grabbed him – she was worried he might faint – he certainly seemed close to it. Quickly she went to reassure him, “I mean, I didn’t mean it like it sounded. It probably sounded horrible, saying that I was insulted.” She blushed a bit when she realized she was babbling, but didn’t really care at that particular moment.

Then she suddenly had his whole weight in her arms – it was like he really did faint. But she could still hear his heart beating like crazy and she could see the red blots on his cheeks and if she wasn’t in such a ‘dangerous’ position she might have laughed at him for being so clumsy. But she didn’t. All the situation did was to make Remus even more adorable in her eyes – being so clumsy with everything. She never saw him like that before and it was quite entertaining somewhere deep down in her heart.

“Yup,” she said lightly when he commented on her being friends with his friends, “we’re we’re friends. Of course we can’t see each other as often as I want, cause we’re in different houses, not to mention I’m a Slytherin, but we get along famously for all that opposition.”

She shook her head when he apologized for forgetting her name, “Doesn’t matter – it was mostly SOB and Jamesiepoo that pranked me and started the prank wars, you weren’t that involved so it’s no wonder you don’t know me or my name.”

At the comment of being nice to meet her she grinned and let her eyes sparkle a bit in mischief that she was so well known for in her house and said, “Nice to meet you too, Mr Lupin.” With that she looked him over and decided that he was looking well enough to stand on his own, since she was still holding him and slowly, almost reluctantly, let him go as she stretched her hand for a handshake.

“Friends?” she asked with a smile on her face.
