The sun had raised over the island of Jaya, including the eastern coast where the straw hats and others were waiting with a repaired Going Merry. "What the hell is he doing!? It's alright morning! Morning! He promised to be back 46 minutes ago! We'll miss the current!" It was were an extremely pissed off Nami was losing her patience because someone hadn't arrived yet and they were running out of time.
"That gold was probably really heavy." Lián came to state this since a single 400 ozt size bar would way around 12.4 kg each.
"He clearly wasn't thinking in the slightest about this." Jián followed up with that statement.
"No... I don't think he's ever thinking anything like that." Usopp had said this, as it wasn't in Luffy's nature to think at all.
"Yeah, you're 100% right." And it had Sanji agreeing with him completely.
"Maybe he got beat up in town..." This concern was coming from Chopper as he was worried.
"By that Bellamy guy?" There could only be one person they could be talking about.
"If he loses I'll kill him myself, even if he DOES make it back in time!" But this question seemed to have infuriate Nami even more then she already had been.
"What's with you lately?" Zoro was completely confused by the girl that was constantly doing 180s every chance there was. However, no one had said anything more as they stood waiting in silence for the last member of the crew to arrive.
"OII~!" And then suddenly, only a few seconds of silence, it had been broken by someone shouting. Looking to where the voice had come from they were able to see someone running towards them from the distance.
"It's him! Great, he made it back!" They couldn't completely see but they already knew who it was.
"I did it!" Luffy was shouting as he was getting closer and there was something in his hand that was raised above his head.
"Luffy, hurry up! We're past sue to set sail!" Sanji shouted at him as they had waited long enough.
"Check it out!" However, it appeared that he completely forgot as he was holding out his arm. "It's Hercules!" And it was a giant rhinoceros beetle in his hand. "It took me forever to find him!"
"Is that why he was late?" This question was being asked to Jián by his sister.
"It appears to be the case." Which he replied unimpressed by it all.
"A KABUTO BEETLE!?"
"YOU WENT TO FIND THAT?!" Hearing this had Zoro, Nami and Usopp looked at him in both shock and anger. But the Captain didn't notice as he sight fell upon the Merry who had a new look about her.
"Whoa, that's awesome!" Luffy was completely impressed by her new look.
"Going Merry, Flyinf Model!" Usopp explained as he stood off him and showing the body of the ship had wings and the sheep figurehead was dressed as a chicken.
"IT'LL FLY!" Hearing this had caused the boy's eyes to sparkle with excitement.
"YEAH!" It appeared Usopp was just as excited. "They did it for us!" He pointed to Masira, Shojou and their crew that were located behind. Before long they began acting like monkeys, or at least posing like them along with Luffy.
"Whatever." Sanji was completely unimpressed.
"I get a sense of impending doom when I look at it." Nami stated this looking at the ship.
"Yeah, I guess so. A pigeon would've looked sky worthy than a chicken." Zoro was saying like that was the issue.
"I think you're missing the point." Jián stated this to the swordsman.
"Yeah, I would have gone with Ruppell's Griffon Vulture, they can go up to 37,000 feet." However, it appeared that he hadn't been the only one.
"You're missing it too." Since that was said once again but to Lián this time.
"Okay, let's get this ship moving! You ready, men!?" Usopp was shouting loudly with his fist in the air. That was when the group began heading towards the ships, all but Luffy who moved towards Cricket sitting at the stump table smoking. The young man placed the satchel of gold in between the two and stared at one another.
"Get on your ship. You don't have time." Cricket broke the silence by saying that. "Are you planning to lose your chance to go to Sky Island? Idiot."
"Right! Thanks for the ship!" Luffy was grinning ear to ear as he spoke.
"You should thank them." However, the old man pointed his thumb behind him to the ships of Marisa and Shojou, both already on them with their crew.
"Thanks guys!" That had been when the young man began shouting and waving to them all. "You can have Hercules!" He had held up the bug.
"We can?!"
"That's so cool!"
"YOU'RE SUCH A NICE GUY!" And they all seemed delighted about that, for some reason.
"Anyway, hurry! Get on your ship! We're gonna miss it!" Masira then shouted as there was some place they needed to be.
"We'll ;ear the way, so just follow us!" Those instructions had been given by Shojou.
"Luffy, hurry!" Usopp was now shouting at him from the Merry.
"Right!" Which had the captain dashing for it, leaving Cricket alone with his thoughts about Bellamy and his crew.
"ALLIED SARUYAMA FORCES!" He had suddenly shouted at the top of his lungs at the monkey and ape.
"AYE!!" And it had pulled all the men to him as they waited.
"You better not screw this one up! No matter what happens, give it your all for them!" That had been ordered by the lead of the force.
"AYE!" And they were all ready for that.
"Yosh! Let's go!" Luffy had taken off once again, after he came to a stop just before the Merry after hearing Cricket shouting. He seemed even more excited after hearing that before jumping into the deck of the ship.
"Guys, lets get going!" Seeing that the Captain was on, Nami began instructing the others to get ready for them to set sail.
"Yosha!" Usopp was overwhelmed with excited.
"Aye, Nami-san!" As Sanji was love struck. The group began getting ready to set sail, raising the anchor and releasing the sails that had the wind pushing them back and away for the coast. The Merry had completely turned around as she began to sail away.
"Kid!" However, Cricket's voice had all looking back to the coast where he stood. "This is where we part ways."
"Yeah!" Luffy had made his way to the back of the ship, where he had shouted back in response.
"But there is one thing I'm certain of." Hearing the old man say that seemed a bit confusing the the young man. "Not one person had proven that Sky Island or the City of Gold doesn't exist."
"Yeah!"
"It may defy common sense, people may laugh at you... But who cares! That's what adventure is all about!" Everyone had moved to the back of the deck, listening to the old man's words.
"Adventure..."
"Yeah! Thanks... for the gold." He meant by returning it from the hands of Bellamy. "Don't fall out of the sky now."
"See ya, Ossan!" Luffy was waving at him.
"Thank you for everything, Cricket-san!" Nami followed in shouting.
"Oyassan! I just KNOW that City of Gold is real!" As did Usopp.
"Ossan, don't overdo anything!"
"Mind your own business!" And with that all said and done, the crew with two new companions had looked ahead to where they were heading for their new adventure, waiting high in the sky for them. Hoping that they will arrive at it with no problem other then getting there.
