The sound of birds echoed loudly over a forest that had tree reaching high into the sky and somewhere on the island where the forest laid, a large man made structure that sat in the middle of a cloud lake. "That special-express bastard just left us here." Zoro stated in annoyance as he and the others were looking out at the surrounding they found themselves in, with the Going Merry just placed on the structure in the middle of what seemed to be a lake.
"What is this place?" While the little reindeer was standing on the bow's outer railing beside him.
"All we knew is that we're somewhere inland on Upper Yard." Nami answer him as this was all they knew.
"This appears to be a sacrificial altar." This had been pointed out by Robin about the building they were on.
"A sacrificial... altar?" Just hearing the words caused the navigator to turn pale.
"Nami, what's a sacrifice?" However, there appeared to be someone that didn't know what that word meant as he asked this question.
"It's when living things are offered to a god." She had answered him in the simplest way for him.
"Oh, is that all?" For some reason he was relieved. "I thought I was gonna het boiled alive."
"But isn't it still the same in the end?" Lian asked while turning up to her brother.
"Of course it is, we die either way." He bluntly answered a bit annoyed with the stupidity of Chopper that was now looking a bit confused.
"They're right." Robin then spoken up. "No matter their methods, we will still have our lives offered to God." She goes onto explaining.
"WHAT!? THEN WE'RE GONNA BE KILLED-!?" He seemed to be completely shock at this information but due to his panic he lost his balance and fell off the ship.
"Chopper!" And he began bouncing down the stairs of the altar.
"Dammit." Seeing this caused the swordsman to leap on down after him. Chopper was about to make it to the bottom and fall into the clouds, which for him wouldn't bee a good thing as he'll drown, but then a pair of arms appeared on the last step of the staircase, grabbing him. Just when they thought everything was safe and sound something suddenly shot out from the clouds behind him. Seeing it caused Chopper to began screaming as it was a shark that had its jaws wide open and ready to chomp down on him. That was if Zoro hadn't appeared and knocked it back.
"Wow! Look at that thing!" Lian was shouting in excitement upon seeing the shark. "I've never seen that type of shark before!"
"That's because it's a skyshark." Jian reminded her of this, neither one of them even the slightest bit concerned for Zoro that fell into the clouds along with the shark.
"ZORO!" Unlike Chopper that dashed all the way to the top of the altar. "ZORO!!" The five were watching the clouds for any sign of Zoro. "What happened? Zoro..." The reindeer asked with his eyes wide open as he was now back on the ship. They all stood in silence, waiting when the shark appeared once again with Zoro inside its jaws, battleing it. "There he is!"
"Zoro!"
"ZORO'S LOSING TO THE SKYSHARK!" But Nami and Chopper were panicking as they watched.
"And there he goes again." Jian was saying nonchalantly as the shark and Zoro entered the clouds again.
"ZORO'S NOT COMING BACK UP!" The doctor began screaming as neither the swordsman or shark were coming back up again.
"He... didn't get eaten, did he?" While the navigator looked completely horrified.
"ZORO GOT EATEN!" Which only caused Chopper to start crying.
"If he got eaten, the clouds would be turning red." That was when Robin had stated this in mellow tone.
"I wonder how red it'll turn." While Lian seemed more intrigued about the shade it would take since the clouds were white.
"It would be pretty dark." As her brother also seemed interested in knowing this.
"WHY DO YOU HAVE TO SAY SUCH MORBID THINGS!?" The three had been snapped at by Nami. But then a moment later the shark came flying out followed by Zoro that looked like he punched the shark. He managed to swim back to the altar and began climbing back up the stairs, breathing heavily
"Damn. Guess we wont be swimming away from here." The swordsman had stated after making it back to the top of the altar.
"You punched that shark, yet you call yourself a swordsman." Nami was disappointed in him.
"Zoro/Zozo-chan is so strong!" Chopper and Lian looked at him in admiration.
"More like is so stupid." On the other hand, it seemed that Jian wasn't all that impressed as he stated that.
"Shut your traps!" Both the comments of Nami and Jian pissed him off and after pulling off his wet shirt had snapped at the pair. It was then when more began resurfacing front the clouds.
"There wasn't just one! There's still a bunch of Skysharks down there!" And it only causing Chopper to freak out in fear.
"If I fight each on of them, we'll be here until nightfall." This had been stated by Zoro as he looked out. "We'll never get to the shore like that."
"Yeah, but we shouldn't stay here too long." Jian spoken up on agreement to his statement about never getting to shore.
"He really screwed us over..." the swordsman was ringing out his shirt that was drenched.
"Perhaps Heaven's Judgement is to let us starve here." Robin was behind him after climbing down from the ship.
"If it is then that's boring!" Lian whined about this as she hanged over the outer railing. "Why would God do such a boring thing!?" She shouted all frustration.
"I don't know. I've never met him." Was the response given back to her screams. Nami had then appeared with a blue tank shirt that she throw down to Zoro. He pulled the shirt off is head as that had been where it landed and noticed the state of the ship.
"That looks pretty bad." The bottom of the ship possessed a hole in it now. "With the hull looking like that, we can't set it in the water." It was then when he glanced up to Chopper, speaking to him. "Think of a way to repair her in the meantime, Chopper."
"Huh? Me? Okay..." He seemed a bit confused at to why he was offered this job.
"Repair the ship?" While Nami was questioning it. "What are you going to do?" Since he could also help or do it.
"I wanna go check out the forest." This was being said as Zoro pulled on the shirt. "We might as well use this spot as a base for now. I'm sure Luffy and the others are gonna try to find us here." He moved onto say since they probably have found out that they had been taken. This was the perfect excuse for Luffy to get what he wanted, which was to go to Upper Yard. "You know what they say. If you get lost, don't move."
"You're the one that shouldn't move!" Which only caused Nami to look at him, uncomfortable because of how easily he gets lost.
"Hey, Zoro... you said you're going into the forest... but what are you going to do there?" Chopper came to asked out of curiosity.
"God's on this island, right? I'm gonna go meet him." The swordsman answered him completely calmly.
"Stop right there!" But hearing him had the navigator snap at him. "Why would you want to meet someone with such horrible power!?"
"Who knows... that depends on his attitude."
"Well aren't you the more arrogant one." Jian was glaring down at him with his arms crossed as he stated that.
"Those Priests are on this island too! And you're never supposed to anger God!" The navigator was still tring to stop him. "That's just common sense!"
"Really? We seem to do it all the time." Lian glanced towards her brother while pointing to herself.
"You mean you do." He pointed back at her, reminding her that he only gets dragged into because of her. "Besides, it's not like anyone other than a few know of them, so keep your mouth shut." He hissed this at her and in response she had acted like she was zipping her lips. But then they turned back to Zoro that was smirking towards them after listening to Nami.
"Sorry, I've... never prayed to God." He had come to say cooly.
"OHHH! SO COOL~!" This had caused sparkles to float around both Chopper and Lian that shouted that in admiration. While Nami and Jian looked at the guy like he was a lost cause, but then he noticed the orange hair girl walking away.
"I don't believe in him, so why should I pray to him?" And Zoro wasn't paying attention as he spoke and it caused the two admiring him even more.
"Oh, Lord God, I do not know this man. Please don't punish me with him!" The orange girl was praying up to the sky, tears streaming down her face.
"YOU'RE SO COOL, ZORO/ZOZO-CHAN~!"
"Of all the ships to join, we picked the one filled with morons." Jian was rubbing his temple as if he was reaching his limit. going along with her.
