The five had entered the forest, leaving the Going Merry and Chopper far behind them. While the others seemed to be on guard as they walked, someone was having the time of her life, leaping from large roots to large roots, like a child. "This sure brings back memories!" Lian seemed to be in blissful spirits. The others were following slowly after her.
"Where is God?" When Zoro had asked this, she turned back to him as he had climbed over a tree root.
"Being God, he may already be watching our movements." He had been answered by Robin who was at the back of the group.
"This wouldn't take half as long if he'd get his ass over here." The swordsman stated this as he gripped on of his katanas.
"I'm fine with him right where he is!" Nami spoken as she jumped down off the root. "What do I have to say to make you listen? This island's god is wrathful!"
"Last time I check, all gods were wrathful." This had been spoken by Jian that was carrying both his and Lián's bags as he stood beside Robin.
"Oh, Lord God, please have mercy on us..." but then the orange hair woman began praying again. "Oh! And please help me to find lots of treasure." She then quietly added that last part.
"She really loves money, doesn't she?" Lian was looking over to the girl amazed.
"Anyway, just walking along the river isn't getting us anywhere." Zoro stated this as he moved to the river they had been following. "Let's cross the river and check things out on the other side." He suggested this to them.
"Good idea." He had been agreed by Robin.
"I hope something more exciting is over there!" While Lian was getting all happy and excited about something happening.
"But, how do we get across?" Nami asked this as she walked towards the river. "Swing across on vines like before? Or maybe there's a tree—" Out of nowhere, she had suddenly felt something grabbing her from behind, dragging her back hitting the ground. "What was that for!?" She snapped at the girl that caused her to been pulled back, however, just as she asked the question it had been answered as a skyshark leaped out front he river where the navigator had just been a second ago. If she had still been standing there, it would have chomped and dragged her into the river, becoming its dinner.
"Those annoying bastards are here too!?" This shocked tone come from Zoro, as he hadn't expected the creatures to be this far inland.
"I quit! I'm not crossing that river!" Then there was the person that almost gotten eaten, if not for Lian. "I refuse to get eaten by a pack of Skysharks!"
"But, we need to search the other side of the river too." This had been pointed out to her.
"No means no!" Nami was shouting as tears were in her eyes. "If you want to go so badly, Zoro, go by yourself!"
"Huh? If you're that scared, you shouldn't have come in the first place!" Now the two of them were arguing with one another.
"They're going to be at this for a while, aren't they?" Jian was sighing upon taking a seat on a root.
"Hey." But all had stopped when Robin leaped down to the ground, she was kneeling down picking up something with her hand. "The ground here..."
"What about the ground?" The two had stopped and turned to her, confused.
"It's soil." This had been stated by the woman as she looked at them both.
"Well, obviously. It's the ground." But the navigator didn't seem to understand why she was so surprised.
"You guys are stupid." Jian had spoken up, causing them to turn up to him, where Lian was leaning on his shoulders as she stood behind him. "Did you forget where we are? Skyisland." He reminded them of the fact that before on the island they had been on before, there was no soil just cloud.
"They've got a point." And it seemed that Zoro was starting to understand what was happening. "It's not fluffy at all."
"I'm confused. How did you guys not notice this from the beginning?" Lian asked them, her headed titled to the side, clearly stating that she noticed this fact back then.
"Oh, right. Sky Island's made up of Island Cloud." Nami had followed a moment later as her hands began massaging the ground under her. "It feels like ages since I've felt soil like this. So why is this island different?" This was the next question.
"Whatever the case, it seems there are mysterious islands even among those in the sky. There seems to be a great deal worth investigating." As this was being said by Robin, she looked up to the trees.
"What do you say about this?" As the others seemed to be forced on Robin, Jian came to asked this question, not looking at Lian as it was for her.
"Hmmm...." She began to think quietly. "I don't exactly know, but there's a lot of death here." Had been her answer to him.
"Death?" Which peaked his interest.
"Yep, like a war which happened a long time ago." As she spoke of this, Lian began looking around them, here eyes reflecting shadow like mist all around them. Something that clearly no one else was able to see.
