September first. The twins, Lee and I were hanging out in our compartment. Planning pranks, talking about the summer. The twins had gone to Egypt with their family and Lee had been to Spain. I wanted to go to Italy for a few days but all the drama about dad's escape had canceled my plans.
When we were almost at Hogsmeade something happened. The temperature dropped and the happiness seemed to leave everyone. I knew what that meant. I got up, raised my wand and thought of my happiest memories. Kissing Charlie, hanging out with my friends, the day I bought my wand. I then went into the hallway.
"EXPECTO PATRONUM" I shouted and a beautifull silver dog erupted from my wand. After it chased one dementor away it ran after the other one who had entered a compartment. When the dementors were both gone I went to check on the students in the compartment.
When I got in my face fell, however I quickly composed myself and started talking.
"Are you alright? Lupin you don't happen to have some chocolate with you now do you?"
He looked at me startled for a moment before he gave me the chocolate which I passed on to Harry. Poor boy, he had fainted when the dementor came in.
"Hermione, Ron are you two alright?"
They looked at me, still a bit shaken up, and nodded. I turned to Lupin. Have I mentioned he's my godfather? Well I have now.
"Can you look after Harry? I have to go talk to the conductor."
With that I turned around to go do what I said while thinking to myself what the hell he is doing here.
