My eighteenth bithday passed which only meant one thing: wedding time.

Our wedding party was set at the Burrow because of the nice garden but the wedding itself would be in Godric's Hollow. I never exspected it to be such a big event, but according to Mrs Weasley, we had to invite their entire family. Do you know how many relatives they have? A lot!
In comparison, I hardly had anyone. My quests consisted of Dad, Remus, Nymphadora, Andromeda, Ted, Harry, Hermione, Narcissa, Draco and a few Hogwarts professors and students. Let's just say that most quests were connected to Charlie.

Thank Merlin most of them only came to the party and not the ceremony. I don't think everyone would fit in the small church at Godric's Hollow. I'm not exactly religious, but Charlie's family is a little and I didn't mind. Especially not if it's the same church used for Lily and James' wedding.

Everything is ready for the big day. The aisle of the church has been decorated with the most beautiful flowers in Pink and blue shades. The Weasleys' garden has tennts set up for the reception party and Kreacher has been working hard to prepare the food, though I hired a caterer to do a part as well. Kreacher alone could never make all the food for this big an event.

I also had a modest bachelorette party. It consisted of Dora, Hermione, Ginny, Molly and I. We didn't go clubbing obviously, we only had a spa day. We got a manicure, pedicure and massages. Charlie should learn how to do that. If he manages to massage me like the spa people,I think I'd do anything he wishes. Perhaps I'd learn how to cook.

The night before the big day, I stayed at Dad's while Charlie stayed at the Burrow. Bride and groom can't see eachother the morning of the wedding, it's bad luck. Apparantly there are a lot of things you have to take care of to get good luck for your marriage. Hermione told me all about it when she came along with the other girls to help me get ready.

"Something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. You have to wear all these items during the wedding. Do you have them." She asked as she gave me a once over. I wasn't even close to being ready. My dress is new so I got that covered. The flowers in my bouquet are blue and pink so all I need now are the old and the borrowed items. That's when my Dad and Mrs Weasley came in.

"Jane, this tiara used to belong to Lily. I'm sure she would've wanted you to wear it." He said as he handed me a silver with diamonds embroaded tiara. I smiled and hugged him.
"Thank you."
"I would love it if you wore this necklace during the ceremony. It's been in our family for generations and I would like for all my future daughters in law and Ginny to wear it on their wedding days. Would you wear it?" She asked on the edge of tearing up. I nodded and felt the air leave my lungs as she wrapped her arms around me. When she let go, Dora seemed to be the only one keeping an eye on the clock.
"Jane, you really should get ready now, otherwise we won't be in the church on time." I glanced at the clock and nodded. We have to be there in less than an hour and half and I haven't done my make-up or my hair.

Thank goodness we got everything done in time. The kids went to the church with Mr and Mrs Weasley. It would be no use to have them play a part in the ceremony. They can't even walk yet, they're only four months old. Then it all began.

The piano started playing and my bridesmaids went in. Dora is my maid of honor. Ginny and Hermione are the other bridesmaids. After they went in, I linked my arm with My dad's.

"Are you ready?" He spoke softly. I nodded and smiled. I can do this! It's one of the best things that has ever happened to me!
"Let's go."

The doors opened once more and we walked in, carefully stepping in the rythm of the piano. I looked up and spotted Charlie. He looked more handsome than ever. He was wearing traditionel dressrobes and had a smile so bright it could light up the entire room. We locked eyes and in that moment I knew. No matter what happens, we'll get through it, together.

Not long after, Dad kissed my cheeck and handed me to Charlie. We turned to the priest and the ceremony began.

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to celebrate the magical union of this man and this woman in holy matrimony.
...
Do you, Charles Weasley, take here present Jane Black, to have and to hold, to love and to sherish, in sickness and in health, to be your lawfully wedded wife until death do you apart?" The priest asked while looking at Charlie who turned to me. Our eyes locked as he replied.
"Yes, I do."
I smiled and the priest turned to me.
"Do you, Jane Black, take here present Charles Weasley, to have and to hold, to love and to sherish, in sickness and in health, to be your lawfully wedded husband until death do you apart?" I nodded, beaming before actually answering.
'Yes, I do."
"Then I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." Charlie grinned and leaned in.

He kissed me softly, lovingly, before breaking apart. We departed the church under a rainfall of rise, another good luck thing, and left for the Burrow. This had only been the ceremony, now we still had to party!

As we entered the tent, Bill shouted over the crowd:"everyone give it up for Mr and Mrs Charles Weasley!" The crowd cheered and I grinned.
Charlie gided me towards the dancefloor. We had our first dance, an intimate slow dance, before parting ways and inviting our parents to the dancefloor. I danced with my Dad, then the next one with Arthur who gave me to Bill who handed me over to the twins. After the twins I spotted Remus standing alone at the sidelines. I have moved on from our stride and according to almost all books 'weddings bring people together'. Dora was dancing with Dad at the moment so I figured perhaps this could be a godfather-goddaughter moment.

"Remus?" He looked up and smiled as I held out my hand. He took it and we slowly turned in slow circle motion. Remus apologized for he had no clue how to dance. I had smiled and said it didn't matter. All that mattered right now was that two families became one and I finally sensed like I belonged.

Then of course I had a wedding night to look forward to! Charlie and I need to practise in case we want another kid.
