Pink trouble and Parenthood

Our sons were born. Andrew William Fredrick Weasley and Anthony Dorion George Weasley. They are so cute! They both have a little bit of red hair already like Charlie but they have my eyes. For now we'll be able to keep them apart by using jumpers with their initials on them.
They were being passed around for everyone to admire while I just kept a tired smile on my face. It's not everyday you give birth, you know? Molly gave me a reassuring squeez before announcing for everyone to give me a little rest. Charlie stayed with me of course but most others went back to Grimmauld. Charlie sat beside me holding a baby in each arm. I smiled at him before slowly drifting of to sleep.

A few days later we could take the babies home. Well, to Grimmauld that is as we're still staying there for the last few days before school starts again. I'm still not quite sure how we're planning on doing this. I have to teach at Hogwarts but Charlie has to work at the dragon istitute. Normally it's okay if I just go home during the weekends but now we have two little ones we have to take care of as well.

We talked about it and decided I'd work part time and he'd do less hours as well and made arrangements with Dumbledore that Charlie can just come to the castle after work. When I have to teach, Madam Pomfrey will look after them or the Fred and George or any other relatives in the castle. If there really isn't anyone available we can always ask Molly to come to school as well but I don't think the Weasleys will like to have their mum around all the time.

So here we are now, on the train with a lot more stuff than the previous years. Fred and George sat with us in the compartement so they could play with their godchildren. George was producing colourful whisps from his wand and Fred was pulling weird faces in favour of my kids. It feels strange to say that, my kids. I never thought I would have children at seventeen but then again I never thought I'd be engaged by now either. I never thought I would graduate from Hogwarts two years early and I never thought I would have so many great people in my life. But that's the point isn't it? Life is supposed to surprise you and sometimes you won't like what it throws at you but sometimes yoou will and right now I'm loving it. Sure I'm tired as can be and a bit sore but I've got two angellic boys that I wouldn't want to trade for a thing in the world. I will protect them or die trying and that's something that I promise.

When we finally arrived at Hogwarts the twins stayed by my side. I hadn't really announced to the student body that I was pregnant last years so I shouldn't have been surprised when they all gaped at me. Thank goodness they like me otherwise I think they would give horrible remarks. There were only a few slytherins giving me the evil eye but they soon stopped as they catched Draco glaring at them. I smiled at my cousin before joining the teachers.

There was a woman in pink robes present. I've met her before but I can't remember her name. If I'm not mistaken she's very much liked by the Minister of Magic. Whatever her name may be she gives me the creeps. It's not like she scares me, more like she triggers negative feelings. Not enough yet to say that I hate her but definitely close. When she spotted me, she came over.

"Good evening, Lady Black." She gave me a polite smile which looked so odd that Andrew started to squirm in my arms. I quickly soothed him before turning back to this pink toadfaced witch.
"Good evening, ma'am. I must apologize for I have forgotten your name. Would you be so kind as to reintroduce yourself to me." Her smile slipped for a moment but quickly returned as she answered me.
"Of course, my name is Dolores Umbridge. We met two years ago during the search for your father." Ah yes now I remembered her. She had been one of the people to vote for the use of Dementors around the school and to give them permission to perform the kiss. Now I have enough reason to hate her.
"Ah yes, of course. How could I forget? It's good to see you again." She gave me another small smile before excusing herself. I didn't mind. She had the ability to upset both Anthony as Andrew just by smiling. What's wrong with her?

Soon enough everyone filed in the Great Hall and took a seat. The first years were sorted and Dumbledore began his speech. I zoned out like I do every year only tuning in again when he introduces the changes. Hagrid would be replaced for a while seeing as he was on an order mission not that anyone but the order themselves knows, then he introduced Umbridge. When he was about to introduce my children Umbridge interrupted. She gave a boring speech that seemed to be directed at five year olds instead at teens from the ages of eleven to seventeen. When she was finally done I glanced at McGonagall. Our eyes locked and I knew she also understood the speech. Umbridge had been mentioning changes at Hogwarts and the ministry which roughly translates in 'the ministry will be intervening in Hogwarts'. Dumbledore tried to hide his frustration and chose to just introduce the twins.

"Thank you, professor Umbridge. Now, it gives me great joy to introduce you to our youngest additions to our school. Please meet Andrew and Anthony Weasley, sons of our very own professor Black and her fiancée Charles Weasley. The students clapped and my jaw dropped. The clapping had surprised Andrew so much his hair changed colours. Anthony seemed unfazed though and stayed the same. I grinned and made a mental note to tell Charlie about this. We have another metamorphmagus in our family!

After the feast I went back to my dorm only to be met with my future husband. He kissed me and took Anthony from me before taking Andrew as well.
"I'll put them in their cribs. You go change I'm quessing you're tired." I smiled at him and nodded. He joined me a bit later in the bedroom and told me about his day. He had gone to talk to his boss so he could have more of a nine-to-five job instead of the long hours he used to do. That way he can have breakfast and dinner with me and our kids and his siblings. Things are looking up. Well as long as Andrew and Anthony stay asleep. They have made it a habit to wake every few hours for no apparent reason.

We went to sleep quickly to get some rest before they awoke and were awarded with peace and quiet until 1 AM. Let the parenthood begin!
