I was exhausted. I don't think I've ever studied this much in my life. I quess that's what happens when you want to get good grades on your NEWT's. I decided to call it a night when I saw it was already past midnight. I know I can't function properly with a lack of sleep.

The next morning during breakfast
I hope my exam will go well. I am good at transfiguration but Minnie's exams are incredibly hard.
I only noticed I hadn't eaten anything yet when Fred snapped me out of my thoughts.
" Are you alright Jayjay? You should eat something."
His twin soon joined the conversation.
"You'll be fine. Stop worrying! It's your last exam so cheer up!"
I nodded not really feeling reassured. I still wasn't hungry but I took a piece of toast anyway so my friends wouldn't worry.

After a few minutes I heard Snape talking to the slytherins. He was irritated about something. His scowl seemed more firm than usual and his knuckles were white from being clenched to hard into fists. That's when I heard him say it.
The bloody git had told them Remus was a werewolf.
I'm not on good terms with Remus but I would never allow anyone to tell anyone about his furry little problem. Snape was done for.
Before I knew what I was doing I had hexed him.
"LEVICORPUS!!!"
And with that he hung up in the air by his ankle.
My heart was racing and my hair and eyes must have looked a fuming red but I didn't care.
I went up to Snivelus and punched him in the face. Sometimes I like getting revenge the muggle way.
After that I left the great hall.

After my exam I was going to the gryffindor common room. The twins and I had agreed to meet up there after our exams. They had their last OWL today.
I entered the room and was greeted with a round of applause and cheering.
I probably looked flabbergasted as I had no idea what everyone was going on about. Then I heard someone yell about setting Snape straight. Everyone had been cheering about my um ... how should I put it? run in with Snape?
I grinned, amused and started searching for my favourite group of redheads and dreadlocks.I found Lee, Fred and George sitting at the fire place. They were grinning. Then Lee spoke up.
" My, Jane. I didn't know you would attack a teacher, prank yes but hell this was way better!"
He chuckled and soon we were all laughing.
I didn't really care about getting in trouble anymore. I was a graduate. He wouldn't be my professor anymore anyway.

My friends and I kept talking and ended up in their dorm where I transfigured a book in a bed and fell asleep.

The next day a frantic Harry Potter was running up to me.
" Jane! Professor Lupin is resigning! Can you talk him out of it? He's the best defense against the dark arts teacher we've ever had. Can you talk to him?"
He looked at me with Lily's eyes pleading me to go talk to Remus. Argh. I can't say no to Lily's eyes, I never could. Dang it.
"Fine... I'll just see what I can do but I can't promise anything. "
" Thanks Jane"
" Sure Prongslet"
I turned around and left for Remus' office. I don't know what I'll say to him. Hey I know I'm ignoring you and everyone knows about you furry little problem but Harry likes you as a teacher so can't you stay? Yup sounds juuuust great.
I arrived at his office just when he was about to leave.
"Uhm, Remus? Could I talk to you?" He looked at me with surprise. He had not expected me to come talk to him that much was clear. After a few seconds he composed himself and responded.
" Yes of course Jane, come in."
We walked in his office and sat down. I decided I was just going to cut to the case and spit it out.
"Remus you can't quit. Harry needs you to stay here. You're a good teacher and I know you've always wanted to be one so don't let anything stop you. Please. The students need you. Who knows what kind of whacko is going to be the dada prof if you leave?"
" Jane I don't want to leave but parents wont like it if they know their children are having a werewolf as a professor. Tomorrow the first owls will arrive demanding I get fired. I rather quit than have Dumbledore needing to defend me against everyone. I'm sorry. I hope you understand."
" Yeah, I already thought you wouldn't change your mind but Harry asked if I could try so. .."
"I'm sorry... by the way I haven't thanked you yet for ... uhm what you did to Snape. It wasn't exactly necessary but it was fun to watch. Sometimes you really remind me of your father and James."
I shrugged. I didn't really know what to do next so I stood up said "not a problem" and left.

The next morning I got a letter from my father.

Dear Jane,
I know you're probably still mad at me but I had to thank you for what you did to Snivelus. I'm so proud of you. Mooney told me how you used the 'levicorpus' spell to lift him up and then gave him a bloody nose by hitting him the muggle way. I wish I could have seen it. So thank you.

I smiled a little at his letter. I was still a bit worked up about him but it was nice to know you're father was proud of you.

The next few days went by in a blur. The exams were over, everyone had packed their trunks and now we were leaving Hogwarts. I'm gonna miss this place but I'm sure I'll get back here someday.
