Tension and colours

Charlie and I had decided to stay at the manor for a while. His family could use the support and it would make it easier to help the order.

Why, you may ask, do the Weasleys need support? Well, the answer is simple, Percy. Percy and mr Weasley have fallen out with one another. Apparently, Percy got promoted to Minister's assistant and had exspected his father to be proud when he told him the news which wasn't the case. Arthur had told him that Fudge had only given him the promotion to spy on their family. It was ridiculous anyways for a young wizard who graduated barely a year before from Hogwarts to get promoted to such a high function.
Percy went mad and started badmouthing Arthur. He said he had had trouble trying to surpass his father's bad reputation at work and how it was Arthur's fault they never had had much money. Percy also stated his father was dumb to stay friends with Dumbledore 'cause it would bring him trouble. Eventually he decided his loyalty was with the ministry, not with his family. He left that night and made it clear to anyone who would listen that he wasn't part of the Weasley family anymore.

You can only imagine how tough that was to the redheads. My future mother in law starts crying at the mere mention of her lost son and her husband breaks whatever he is holding. Let's just say everyone is keen on avoiding the subject.

Something else that seems to become a regular thing are Harry's rants. No he's not stumping around like a disgruntled infant, he just gets angry... a lot. He has reason to be angry though.

The Daily Prophet have taken on Harry as their favourite punchline. They subtly reference him in a lot of their articles and make him out to be some attention seeking snob with heroworshipping problems. Which is all a load of rubbish of course but it's hard on a fifteen year old teenager to be mocked like that. Hell, it would be hard for an adult as well.

It's not only the papers that are feeding Harry's fury, it's Dumbledore as well. Dumbled doesn't appear to want to keep him informed about Voldemort and the order and stuff. Molly agrees with Dumbles on that part which causes her to fall out with my father as he believes Harry should know what's going on.

As one can conclude, the tension was thick enough to cut through with a knife.
Not everything is going down hill though...

Bill is staying in England as well. It's easier for him to help the order when he's closer by. He does an office job now for Gringots. He says he misses the pyramids and the desert of Egypt but that's not what the twins told me.
Apparently Fleur Delacour got a job at Gringots to help her improve her English and Bill has been giving her private lessons. It's safe to assume they have been doing more that studying English together if you get my drift... Charlie and I talked about it, gossyped more, and he asked Bill. Ever since that conversation Bill refuses to make eye contact with Charlie. It's rather hilarious. Every time Bill adjust his gaze to wander away from Charlie, Charlie looks at me and we burst out laughing which results in a glare from Bill and questioning glances from everyone else.

It's what made it bearable to live in the manor at the time.

Summer dragged on and on and on... you get my drift. It's not like I didn't have any fun. Whenever Charlie left for his work, I hung out with the twins. They were messing around which caused me to unleach my inner child. Soon enough our cheeryness affected the rest of the house and everyone got in the same happy mood. It wasn't long before a colour war broke out.

People formed small groups and got their wapens. Every one under seventeen had to make due with paintballs made by the elder witches and wizards. Harry and Ron claimed my dad for their team, Ginny and Bill sticked together, Remus and Nymphadora formed a pack and then you had us, the most amazing team ever, Fred and George and then me of course.

The war went on for a few hours, Remus and Dora were the first team to be eliminated. Remus didn't seem to mind that much, but Dora was another story... she had been hit in the back after stumbling over the umbrella stand. Ginny had been right around the corner and hit her with bright pink dye. It matched her hair.
Next I took out my dad. I knew he, Harry and Ron were hiding in his old bedroom so I quietly made my wy over there. Without aiming at anyone, I shot paint out of my wand throughout the room. Dad was hit all over his front, Harry had some flashy green going through his normal jet Black hair and Ron, pour Ron, he sighed and immediately sent to take a shower. I grinned and went back to the twins.
The final duel was between our group and Bill and Ginny. They were good, but we were better. I lured them in by seeming vulnerable in the living room, while actually I had put up an invisible shield. The moment they came in, Fred and George closed in upon them and bam! They were out. We won and as our price the others had to be our slaves for a week.

Best week ever! I never had that many foot massages.

I'm sorry that it's such a crappy chapter but I've been busy. I'll make it up to you soon, I promise!
Lots of love, misschiefmanaged
