World cup gone wrong

It was the morning of the Quidditch World Cup. I woke up and looked at the time. Good Godric it was only 5am. I turned around, wanting to sleep some more when I heard the door to my room creak and open. Oh no, I groaned. It's too early. I pulled the blanket up over my head and turned to lie face down. Someone chuckled. Charlie's voice filled my ears.
" Love, you need to wake up.  Everyone expects you to go with the twins to the cup and I thought you said you had to be there early to help out."
By now I was facing him and considering what he had said.
He was right. Slowly, I sat up.
"Hunny I need some motivation to get up. What about ... a good morning kiss?" I asked teasingly.
He smiled at me and kissed me. I tangled my fingers in his hair and he put his arms around my waist. The kiss was deep and passionate and before we knew it he was on my bed while I sat in his lap with my legs around his torso. After a while we pulled away to catch our breath. He gave me a small peck on my head and lifted me out of bed.
He left the room and I got dressed. After I had ran a brush through my hair I made my way to the kitchen.
It was too early for me to be hungry so I only drank some pumpkin juice. The twins came down and sat beside me. Then the trio and Ginny arrived at the table.
It was silent except for the occasional yawning. After about half an hour everyone had eaten and we left for the portkey.

A long walk later we FINALLY arrive at the portkey and meet up with the Diggorys.
We exchanged pleasantries and took off.
I hate portkeys. Every time I use one I end up sick. The spinning sensation always made me dizzy and I was almost sure I would throw up.
On the right moment I let go, casting a little spell so I wouldn't fall and stood up straight. Looking around, most of our group were on the ground. I smirked at the twins and helped them up. Their cheeks were a light pink I couldn't resist teasing them.
"Oooh did the poor little twinzie boys fall down? Poor gingers."
They blushed even more and mumbled a shut up before we followed mr Weasley to our tent.

It was a small tent, I was a bit doubtful. How in the world would we all fit in it?
We entered and everything became clear. It was magically enlarged. There was a bathroom, a few bedrooms, a little kitchen and a little living room. It was just lovely.
We each claimed a bed, put away our stuff and then the twins cornered me.
" So our dearest Jayjay-"
" who's the boyfriend your father has been-"
" talking about? "
I shrugged, trying to come up with something believable.
" My father believes I'm dating someone so each time I talk to a guy he thinks he's my boyfriend."
They seemed a bit disappointed.
" Who did he think it was?"
"Uhm first he thought I was dating one of you but then Charlie hugged me so he thought it was him and I'm sure that if we spot anyone from school who gives me a hug he'll think that's my boyfriend. " I said. They looked at me smiling amused before we moved on to the next subject: the joke shop.
After we talked for a while we went outside and to the souvenirs shop.
I bought some glassthingy that could zoom in on the game so I could watch better, I also bought a green scarf for Ireland and a licorice wand. I waited for the twins when I heard my name.
"Jane!"
Turning around I saw Cedric Diggory. He's the hufflepuff seeker and known to be really kind but I don't know him personally. Nevertheless I smiled and greeted him.
"Hey Cedric."
He gave me a wide smile before he started talking.
" So Jane, umm how are you?" I looked at him and he looked at me a bit sheepishly. I chuckled.
"I'm good thanks now what did you really want to ask me?"
" Uhm well I ... I was wondering if you would perhaps go to Hogsmeade with me next year?"
Okay I hadn't seen that one coming. How do I decline without being mean.  The last thing I want is to hurt his feelings.
" I don't know if that's a good idea Cedric. I'm flattered and you're really nice but I'm going to be a teacher at Hogwarts next year so I don't think it would be appropriate."
I smiled at him apologetically. He gave me a small smile.
" Oh that's okay. You can only ask right? Well I'll better be off then." He waved me a good bye and left. Sighing I turned around to see the twins approaching me. They were laughing.
" So you turned down Diggory huh? Perhaps you are dating someone." George said smirking at me while Fred continued.
" Yeah don't all girls swoon over him?"
I raised my eyebrow at them. Were they kidding me? They should know I'm not some stereotypical high school girl running after mr popular.
"Oh come on! Let's just go."
They were still laughing so I smacked them on their heads and turned around. I had only taken a few steps when I saw Charlie. We locked eyes and made our way to each other. I hugged him and he ruffled my hear. He grinned while I playfully scowled at him. He held an arm around my waist while we walked around.
"Do you think I should tell my family about us?"
"I don't know Charles, perhaps. I don't know how long my father will keep his mouth shut about his suspicions but I don't think it'll be long."
" What if we tell my parents at the end of summer break?"
"That sounds good."
We walked around a bit longer before we were interrupted. My father always has the worst timing.
" Pup are you coming to the stadion? The game'll start in a few minutes." He said grinning like a mad man.
"Yeah I'll be right up. The top box right?"
"Yes, I'll see you there! Now be safe!" He said glancing back and forth between me and Charlie. I rolled my eyes and waved him of. Idiot. Charlie was a bit flustered but quickly recomposed himself.
"You can handle huge dragons but you can't handle my father?" I teased.
He pushed me playfully before heading of to Bill.
I looked for the twins and when I couldn't find them just left to the top box.

When I got there, I took a seat in between Fred and Hermione. Looking around I noticed the Malfoys. I hid a scowl and turned around.
Not long after, the game began.

Krum, the Bulgarian seeker, catched the snitch but Ireland still won.

Later on we were teasing Ron about his love for Krum. We al sat in the tent laughing and joking until mr Weasley entered.
" All go to the portkey now. Fred, George your responsible for Ginny. Ron, Harry and Hermione stay together. Jane be safe." With that we all got out of the tent and they all sprinted of towards the woods. I went to the deatheaters.

They were lifting a muggle family in the air. It was terrible. I quickly shot some spells at them and used the wind to get the muggles down safely.
The deatheaters who were still able to get up started attacking me. Oh damn. There were too many of them. I couldn't take them all so I created a circle of fire around them. This way they couldn't shoot spells at me anymore and it gave the surrounding people some time to run. I couldn't hold it though.
The fire died out and the deatheaters charged at the aurors and me. I stunned three deatheaters before the mask of a fourth dropped. Lucius Malfoy.
"CRUSIO!"
"PROTEGO!" I deflected his spell. He smirked at me.
"You learned to protect yourself against me now huh? Had enough of the crusiatus curse?"
I scowled at him.
" As I remember correctly the last time you were in my house you left in a rather bad shape after I hexed you!"
His smirk turned into a snarl and he charged at me again.
"Avada ked-"
" Stupefy!"
After duelling for a little while the deatheaters started dissapparating. Lucius did to and I saw why. The Dark Mark.

I didn't think I just ran. As I remember correctly the Dark Mark was supposed to show were a death had taken place. What if it was one of the Weasleys? Or Hermione? Or Harry? Or ...? I kept running.
I arrived at the place of the Dark Mark to see the trio surrounded by ministry men. I immediately checked on them.
"Are you guys okay? Are you hurt? Did anything happen?" I asked frantic. I stopped to breath and scowl at the ministry men.
" Why are you all standing here? You should be tracking the deatheaters! "
They filled me in on what had happened. The trio had been found on close to the place were the Dark Mark was conjured and the conjuring was done with Harry's wand. They had also found Winky, a house-elve. After suspecting the trio they had suspected Winky. She was going to be punished by her master and that's it.

We all went back to the tent and soon after to the Burrow. It had been enough for one day.
