Malfoy's going down

"Good morning!" My dad beams at me as I walk into the kitchen with a smile plastered on my face. He gives me a funny look but doesn't question my good mood.
"Morning", I greet back whilst taking a seat. I grabbed some toast and scrambled eggs and started eating. A few moments later Remus joins.
"Morning everyone" he says before making himself some tea. When he saw my face he almost jumped out of his skin. I really should smile more often, Dad and Remus seem to think there's something strange going on with me just because I'm smiling.

After breakfast filled with small talk and laughs I said my goodbyes and left for Hogwarts. My family can actually be fun if you forget about the past thirteen years.

After unpacking my trunk, I went to Dumbledores office. He's working on the lawsuit we're doing to Malfoy. He deserves it for torturing me when I was just a little girl but I hate that people will know. What if they think I was weak or still am? What if they pity me? I hate pity.
Dumbledore is trying to get a private hearing but I'm afraid it'll leak out anyway. Lots of wizards know me and Lucius and they just love to gossip. Sometimes I hate being well known. It's nice when people respect you but it can easily turn around to pity or something similar and I would loathe that.

"Sugar quils" the gargoyles jumped aside and I went in. I climbed the staircase until I got to the office door. Dumbledore answered after the first knock and let me in.

"Good morning, miss Black." He smiled at me and his smile seemed to only grow wider as he saw I wasn't in a bad mood so I wasn't going to snap at him.
"Good morning" he gestured for me to take a seat and I did.
"How's it going with my Malfoy problem?" I said turning a bit more serious. He noticed and started telling everything he's done over the past few weeks and what'll happen now.

To conclude, I can have a private hearing but that doesn't mean people won't find out. the hearing will take place in a few days and I'll have to speak up in court or whatever it's all called. He spent the next twenty minutes going over who will be there, what's important, etc. After a lot of nodding from my part I could leave.

Soon enough lessons began and instead of me teaching the students any history they just squeeled and asked questions and congratulated me on my upcoming wedding. It was kinda fun actually except for some boys grunting and a hurt look in Cedric Diggory's eyes. I don't get why he's so upset though. If I recall correctly we only properly met during the quidditch world cup and even then he only asked me out which I declined. Plus I believe he's dating Cho Chang, a girl Harry's crushing on. Whatever the other students were mostly positive which made time fly by. soon enough it was time for the hearing.

I had dressed up to my status. I wore one of my most expensive dresses with some family heirlooms and went to the ministry. I swiftly made my way to the courtroom avoiding eyecontact. Dumbledore was already there and to my surprise so was my dad and Remus. I walked towards them and recieved some reassuring smiles from them which I returned.

Malfoy arrived a few moments later. He shot me a nasty glare before the aurors went over to him. The guided him to his seat and stayed close by not letting him out of sight. The hearing began not even five minutes later. Malfoy stated he never used any curses on me but refused to take veritaserum which caused suspicion under the jury. Then they started questioning me. They asked me if I would mind taking veritaserum which I didn't mind. After I downed the potion, I told them about how he had tortured me and for how long. Seeing as I had taken the veritaserum nobody questioned my statement and Malfoy got sent off to Azkaban.

Later on Narcissa came by and apologised to me for her husband. She said she did not know he had done all of that. I accepted her apologies and told her I was sorry that she lost her husband and the father of her son to Azkaban but that he wasn't a good man which she understood.

It all went quite okay actually. Lucius got send to Azkaban and there weren't many people here to hear why he went. We had made a deal with the ministry; they could tell Lucius got send away for performing the crusiatus curse multiple times on a child but they were not to mention my name. I had apparated away immediatly after everything was settled to tell Charlie, afterwards I went to the Burrow to tell mrs. Weasley seeing as she will be my mother in law; she gave me a BIG hug. Then I went back to Hogwarts as if nothing ever happened.

Yeah I know this chapter is absolute rubbish but I don't have inspiration so yeah it's a bit of a filler. Sorry!
