Another week passed and I was glad for the weekend to come. Don't get me wrong, I love teaching but I want to spend some more time with my family. Specially now...
The wedding will be in a few months and I haven't arranged anything yet. I don't have a dress, I don't have bridesmaids, we don't have a venue, food, invitations ... we don't have anything yet. Well we have a bride and groom, that counts for something right? I'm going dress shopping next week with Molly and Dora so that problem is solved but there is so much else to do.
We thought to maybe have the ceremony in Godric's Hollow. It's a small town with it's own magic community. Lily and James lived there with Harry so I spent a lot of time there. Then the party could be set up in the Weasleys' garden. It's large enough to set up some tents and it's secluded from Muggles. We can't have Muggles around if everyone is apparating.
We can hire a caterer for food. I haven't gotten a clue what we should serve so I'll let Charlie decide upon that. Speaking of the devil, he still needs a set of nice dress robes... we'll talk about it later. Then invitations are another thing. Who should we invite? The people from the dragon institute for sure. Then the Weasley family and my Dad, Remus, Harry, Dora, Andromeda and Ted, perhaps Draco and Narcissa? I don't know.
The Hogwarts staff minus Snape, Umbridge and Filch should also come. Lee is of course also invited as is Hermione, but should I have many other students at my wedding? It's a hard decision.Let's prospone the worries for some other day.
Right now I've got two little children in need of my attention. Andrew was playing with a stuffed animal while Anthony was gazing at the cookie jar. I smiled as I sat down beside my future hubby.
"Charlie, you need to buy an outfit for the wedding. I'm not getting dressed as cotton candy if you're not wearing some decent dress robes. You should ask your Dad or Bill to help you pick some out. Preferably Bill, you know your Dad is quite eccentric on means of fashion."
Charlie rolled his eyes at me but nodded.
"Of course, love. When are you buying your cotton candy dress?" He smirked at me, knowing I don't like dress shopping.
"Next weekend which means you'll have to fend for them", I motioned to our sons," alone then. Are you up for it?"
"I'll be fine, what's the worst that could happen?"Charlie is always like that. He's very relaxed as if he hasn't got a care in the world. I, on the other hand, always think of doom scenario's. I used to be more layed back but then Voldemort returned, I gave birth and am planning a wedding. I've got enough reasons now to worry.
"The castle could burn down. You never know." I joked. He smiled at me and ruffled my hair.
"Of course it could. Why would that happen?" He looked smug but I saw something at that moment that would make that look dissapear very soon.
"Your son could develop an affinity for the elements and set something on fire, like he's doing now." He followed my ray of vision to see Tony holding a flame in his hands. He then turned back to me showing an incredulous face.
"Shouldn't we be doing something?! How the hell did your father deal with it?!"
"Chill, just watch him and make sure he doesn't light anything on fire, especially not his brother, and that's it. As long as he's just playing with it, you don't do anything. He's learning how to use his powers."Charlie and I talked some more while watching the kids. Tony was spouting flames from his hands in different colours. Andrew would then proceed to match the colour with his hair. After a while I joined in. Changing my hair in the same colours as Andrew and juggling with small flames to show Tony. They'd giggle and show whatever they were doing in return.
When the door opened to reveal Fred and George they stood shell shocked. I hardly ever change my appearances and now I looked like a rainbow. They sat down on the couch next to Charlie and fell into easy conversation while I played on.
"Jane, I've got a question for you." Fred asked. Their voices are the easiest way to tell them apart. There was a slight difference in altitude as Fred's voice was just a tad bit more high pitched than George's. I turned my head slightly so I could face him and he could ask whatever it was that was on his mind.
"Why don't you ever change your looks around us? Blue hair with a flash of purple really suits you." He seemed only half sincere half joking.
"I'm happy with my normal hair colour, thank you very much. The only reason I'm changing it now is to amuse these little munchkins. If you had told me you needed some colourful entertainment I would have gladly obliged." He laughed and I turned back to the little twins."Tony has a thing with the elements like me, did Charlie mention it already?" I asked without taking my gaze away from my little wonders.
"He was souting fire from his fingertips a few minutes ago. In different colours even, it was awesome. He could easily fall in his father's tracks and work with dragons without getting burned. Andrew on the other hand will always be able to disguise himself, could coome in handy if he decides to be an auror of something. Whatever they choose to become, they will do great. I'm sure of it.""Of course you're sure, you're their mother. If you didn't believe in them, I don't know who would." George said.
"Oh sod off!" I laughed. "They are meant for greatness, I know it!"As if to prove my point, Tony sprouted a flame from his hands in a beautiful pomegranate red. Everyone fell quiet as they watched. My little boys have a bright future ahead of them.
I'm so so so soooo sorry it took this long for me to update! I've been really sick last week and have been trying to catch up for missed classes the last few days. Please don't hate me :/
Lots of love, misschiefmanaged
