All sounds around me died away as I listened to Bellatrix' screams. It may sound strange but it was the most precious thing that I've ever heard. I relished in it. She was begging for mercy, begging for me to stop or to just end the pain. All I did was smile. Bella was writhing on the floor in pure agony. It made me cackle.
My moment didn't last long as I was suddenly wrapped in someone's arms. I tried to break free from their embrace until I recognized their voice.
"Jane! Jane, Pup, try to relax. She isn't worth it. Think about good things. Think about Charlie! And your boys! You have a family! You have friends! Focus on that and let go of Bella!"
I took a deep breath and tried to calm down. Slowly but surely I stopped struggling in my father's embrace.
"Dad? I'm fine now. You can let go. I won't attack her again. Well, I might if you don't stun her."
Before I even finished my sentence, Dad shot a stunner towards his crazy cousin. Thank Magic and Merlin for that!
As I looked past him, I saw Ministry officials had arrived. Most of the Order had conquered their opponents and made sure that they couldn't run off again. Good. They don't deserve to go back to their lives. It's not like they ever do anything usefull anyway. What is it Deatheaters do with their free time? I highly doubt it's gushing about puppies.
The Aurors finally started doing what they get payed for, namely taking the Deatheaters into custody so they can await their trial. They're not getting of with the 'imperio' excuse this time, I'll make sure of it. That is if I'm not in trouble myself ... Technically speaking, what I did was illegal.
"Dad, do you think I'm going to Azkaban for what happened?" I asked as I locked eyes with him. We might have had our difficulties in the past, but I think we've moved on from that. In times like this, a girl needs her Dad.
He looked at me and gave me a reassuring smile. "Everything is going to be okay, Pup. They are not going to take you away from me. If they do try, we leave."
"Leave? Where to?"
"The Americas. MACUSA is far more tolerant than the MOM. They won't convict you for this. And otherwise you just change your appearance."
I smiled. Once a rebel, always a rebel. "Thanks, Dad."
"Anytime." He ruffled my hair before dragging me along to Harry.
The fifteen-year-old looked a bit shaken but otherwise fine. As soon as he saw us he stepped forward and hugged Dad. Poor kid, he feels so guilty for leading us here. He must have been so scared when Bellatrix went for Dad.
Silent tears were streaming down his face as he burried it in Dad's shoulder. Meanwhile, Dad kept whispering comforting words to him; telling him it's not his fault, that everyone's okay, that the bad people are caught... In other words, he calmed him down and made sure he knew he was still loved and that nothing truly bad happened. Even better, we helped catch a bunch of Voldy's followers. If the Ministry does something right for a change, they'll all get Kissed. That way Voldy won't be able to bust them out again.
As the Aurors dissapeared with their new captives, the Order gathered around. Besides a few bruises here and there, most were fine, including the kids. I should have been more responsable when we were about to leave Hogwarts, I should have forbade them to come with. This was dangerous. They could've gotten killed...
As the last of the Ministry men left, we did the same. I'm not going to inform those morons of my crime, if they don't have any prove against me. I'll just cast a couple of light spells so my wand won't be able to be tied back to the crusio. Now though, I just want to go home to my husband and my kids.

As I entered my rooms at Hogwarts, my walls broke down. Smiling through my sobs I fell into Charlie's arms. All I need is for him to hold me for a minute. Today was a bit much. There were just too many different emotions involved; panic, anger, relief ...
Charlie just embraced me and allowed me to be weak for a moment, to let it all out. Everyone has to do that every once in a while. If one doesn't, it could have bad mental consequences. This is one of the reasons I'm so happy to have Char. He and the kids mean everything to me. I don't know what I would do without them.
After I calmed down a bit, we walked towards the twins' beds. Anthony and Andrew were sleeping peacefully without a care in the world. If only that would never change.
Shortly after checking up on my babies, we went to bed. With Charlie's arm secured around my waist, I fell asleep without much trouble.

Hey my beloved readers! I am so sorry I haven't updated in a while. I really had no inspiration and that combined with schoolwork, a job, falling ill a few times...
I am trying to get back on track with my stories so I hope I'll be able to update bi-weekly.
Thank you for sticking with me!
Lots of love,
