Not going to Hogsmeade

Harry's POV
It was a Hogsmeade weekend and I couldn't go. I was so pissed. Hermione and Ron promised to bring me back some sweets from Honeydukes but I just wish I could have gone with them. Stupid uncle Vernon. Why couldn't he just sign my permission slip? Now I'm stuck here in the castle at least I get to learn the patronus charm.

I walked to professor Lupin's office and knocked on the door.
"Come in!"
I entered and saw professor Lupin smiling at me. He asked me to take a seat and offered me some hot chocolate.
We soon started talking and I told him how the last time with a dementor I could hear my father instead of my mother.
"You heard James?"
" Yeah", I looked up at him. He said James. He called my father by his first name.
"Why-you didn't know my dad, did you?"
" I-I did as a matter of fact. We were friends at Hogwarts. Listen Harry - perhaps we should leave it here for the night. The charm is ridiculously advanced. I shouldn't have agreed putting you through this." He said putting some stuff behind him in a drawer.
" Professor Lupin", I said, "if you knew my dad you must have known Sirius Black as well."
He turned around and responded sharply.
"What gives you that idea?!"
"Nothing... I just knew they were friends so I figured you might have been..."
"Oh, yeah I see"
There was a silence until I stood up, said goodbye and left.

Jane's POV
I had told my friends I wasn't going with them to Hogsmeade. As an excuse I told them I had some letters to write for the ministry. I didn't. I only had to answer Charlie's letter. I miss him but I'll just have to get over it for the time being.
I also wanted to go bring some stuff to my dad.

After I finished my letter to Charlie, I left of to the shrieking shack armed with a basket filled with food and drinks.

I found him in his animagus form in the bedroom of the shack. When I came in he shifted back to human.
"Hi, I brought you some food and stuff." I told him putting down the basket. He opened it and started eating an apple. While thanking me. Yeah it was pretty gross he should learn not to speak with his mouth full.
"I also brought you your wand. I figured you might wanted it back." I handed him his wand and his entire face just screamed thank you. After that, we talked a bit strategy on how to catch Peter and I told him about Harry's life. How he was a seeker, a gryffindor and how he always managed to get himself in trouble. How he looked just like James except for his eyes, his eyes were an emerald green just like Lily's. I also told him that Remus was the new DADA professor and that he was giving Harry private lessons to defend himself from Dementors. He shuddered at the mentioning of dementors. After about an hour, I stood up to leave when he touched my arm.
"Jane, you haven't told me anything about you yet. How have you been?"
I looked at him a bit shocked. The only people who ever asked about me were the twins, Lee and Charlie. Of course you have the 'how are you? Good, how are you?' conversations but those don't count. I didn't know what to tell him. I was still pissed at him for leaving me. I quess I can tell him the things everyone knows about me.
"Well uhm I am not sorted into a house as the hat said I was perfect for all of them. I have my own dorm and common room. My best friends are Fred, George and Charlie Weasley and Lee Jordan. I'm ahead so I skipped some years making this my NEWT year. I work at the ministry where I have quite a powerful position. I'm an elemental. Uhm I don't really know what else I should say..."
He looked at me with his jaw dropped. Did I say something wrong? I haven't really had much practice with father-daughter conversations so I didn't know what to do.
"Hey are you alright? " I asked him while waving my hand infront of his face. He shut his mouth and then opened it again to speak. But no words came out.

After a few moments, the silence thing got on my nerves. I looked at him and decided I was just gonna say goodbye and then go back to the castle.
"So uhm I'll come back soon with more stuff. I'm sorry for chocking you with to much information ... I'll just get going then..."
I stood up to leave when he suddenly spoke up.
" I can't believe how powerful you are." He looked at me with a bit of proudness in his eyes. Then he smirked and said.
"What's up with all your friends being boys? Don't you have any girl friends?"
That's sirius black, one moment all serious and the next minute he's smirking like an idiot.
"I have girl friends. But I'm just a lot closer to my guy friends."
" Do you have a boyfriend? " now he looked at me slighty worried but also with an amused grin on his face. I'm not going to tell him about Charlie and I,we hadn't even told the twins about us. I wonder how they would react. Would they like the idea as me as their brother's girlfriend? Or would they beat his ass? Knowing the twins they will probably be a bit conflicted but they will tease us at least.
I quess I had been thinking to long 'cause my dad looked at me with a knowing look in his eyes. How long had I zoned out? I'm just gonna go. It's for the best.
"I'm gonna head back to the castle now. It's getting late..."
He smirked at me and told me goodbye as I left.
