Let's get this party started

Jane POV
Everything had settled down a bit. My nightmares were less frequent and Dumbledore was working on a private hearing for my Malfoy problem.

Now we could go back to the fun stuff. Christmas break has started and that means the yule ball comes closer. Don't think I'm such a girly girl who's squealing about the thought of a dance. No that's not it. Charlie is coming for the ball and afterwards I'll go with him back to Romania for the rest of the break. Mental happy dance for me.

My fireplace lit up and Charlie walked out. Before he could say something I hugged him. Merlin I've missed him! He hugged me back and kissed me on the top of my head. We only broke the hug when there was a knock on the door.
With a flick of my wrist the door opened to reveal Ginny.
She looked like she was about to speak when she noticed Charlie.
" What are you doing here? " the youngest redhead asked.
" Nice seeing you too little sis! Anyway I'm here for the ball. I'm taking Jane. "
She nodded but didn't say anything else.
"Charlie why don't you go tell your brothers you're here."
He got the hint and left.
The moment the door closed behind him, Ginny started rambling.
" Jane I don't know what to do! I want a certain boy to ask me to the yule ball but I don't think he's going to but I still want to go but should I then just accept an invitation from anybody? Please Jane, help me!"
I chuckled a bit at her desperate face.
"Gin, this 'certain boy' doesn't happen to be Harry now eh?" She blushed and I continued.
" You shouldn't wait for him to ask you. If he doesn't ask you he's an idiot but that doesn't mean that you can't have any fun. Go with some nice guy! Dance all night and enjoy yourself! Harry isn't ready for a serious relationship yet anyway. Don't waste your time on him. Perhaps in a few years he'll see how wonderful you are but until then you should live your life. Go out and see what you like."
She seemed to consider it and smiled.
"Thanks Jane."
"You're welcome Ginny. Now let's find your brothers before poor Charlie gets teased to death!"
We laughed and went to look for them.

In the gryffindor common room
Charlie POV
"How are things-"
"going between you and-"
"Jane?"
The twins are interrogating me and I don't like it one bit.
" Uhm we're good."
"Really? So how serious is-"
"Your relationship?"
They really need to stop finishing each other's sentences.  It's driving me crazy!
" Pretty serious." I told them. They smirked at me. Oh Merlin what's going on in their heads?
" So have you two done it yet?" They asked in unison and I felt my face heat up. Oh Jane please come and get me soon!
As if she heard me she stepped in the common room alongside with Ginny. She saw my face and scowled at the twins.

Jane POV
I walked into the common room only to see Charlie's face even redder than his hair. What in the world have the twins done to him?
" Gingers, what did you do?"
I scowled at them and they grinned looking from me to Charlie and back.
"We were just-"
" asking our big brother how-"
"You two were getting along"
Then they turned to Charlie who turned if possible even more red.
I shook my head and positioned myself on his lap.
" Charlie? " I whispered so only he could hear. " What were they asking you?"
" Uhm it's nothing, really."
I gave him a disbelieving look but shrugged it off.

Today is the day of the ball. Which means I should probably get dressed. I've got another hour but I still have to shower.

An hour later I was running around in my room looking for my heels. Where the hell are they? After another five minutes I finally had my shoes on.

I met up with Charlie and together we entered the great hall. It was beautiful, it looked like a winter wonderland.

A few minutes later the champions entered. Fleur with some guy I don't know, Viktor with Hermione, Cedric with Cho and Harry with a Patil.

The champions danced the first dance and soon prof Dumbledore and Minnie chimed in followed by Neville and Ginny.
"Can I have this dance? "
Charlie asked while standing up.
I smiled and stood up as well and we proceeded on to the dance floor.

He twirled me around and danced with me until my feet were aching.
The weird sisters took over the music which caused the dancing to alter to jumping mostly. Charlie however lead me into a slow dance. I lay my head in the crook of his neck and he started whispering.
" Love?"
" Yes Char?"
" There is something I've been wanting to ask you. And ... uhm okay here it goes."
He sounded nervous and leaned out of the embrace. He then slid his hand into his pocket and knelt on one knee.
He opened a little black box with a beautiful but simple ring.
"Jane Lily Rema Andromeda Black, I've loved you for so long now and I want you to know I'll keep loving you til the end of time. Will you make me the happiest man on earth by marrying me?"
He looked at me and all I could do was smile and nod. He put the ring on my finger and lifted me up and swirled me around.
When he put me back down, we leaned in and kissed. This is the best day of my life!

After a while we decided to inform the twins, Lee, Ginny and the trio.

We made our way to the twins first. They were getting drinks.
" Heeeey gingers!" I beamed at them.
" Hey Jayjay-"
"-and Charlie-"
"-what's up?"
I decided to just show them my hand. The beautiful ring on it should make it clear.
The moment they spotted it their eyes grew wide.
" You're getting married? !"
They yelled in unison causing the surrounding groups of students to turn around and scan my hand with the ring and then Charlie's and mine entwined hands.
The next thing we know everyone is congratulating us and all I can think about is how lucky I am to have and to hold Charlie til death do us apart and maybe even after that.

I know... cheesy right? But I had writers block and I've been working this month so I haven't had much time to come up with anything.  I'm so sorry.
