I opened my eyesockets to a moonlit room. Welp, looks like I'm not getting anymore sleep. I sit up and swing my legs off the bed. It's still pretty early, so Dil will still be out a for a while. I start to stretch my arms and legs. *Pop* *Yawn* That's better. I stand up. I should probably do something to keep busy, atleast until the sun's up. I start taking out boxes and bins from my inventory. Cloths, some art supplies, accessories, a few broken down pieces of furniture, my video gaming stuff, bathroom supplies, and a few other essentials. After I've taken out the daily use stuff, I took a look at the bathroom and closet to see what I could fit. The door to the bathroom and closet are next to eachother.
I open the bathroom door and turn on the lights. I see it's pretty big. I have a nice size bathtub and a shower combo. I'll have to see if my set of bath curtains will fit. The sink is a single with decent counter space and a mirror. There is a toilet, but I don't really use those for anything but when I'm sick or need to flush down something. I'll also need to grab a rug and trash can. Maybe I could put my hamper in here. I leave and go check out the closet. I try to switch the light on, but it doesn't work. I'll need to see why later. Good thing monsters have amazing night vision. I see that it's a decent sized walk in closet with both sides having poles to hang cloths and shelves over them. I get to work.
I spent the next few hours unpacking, organizing, and decorating. I put together a couple of shelves, a media center, and another dresser that went on my closet. I put away my cloths and accessories, organized my art stuff in a corner by the desk, set up the gaming area, put my bathroom together, and put up decorations and posters. I made sure to make my bed and organize my plushies. All my books and nick-nacks went on the shelves. I went into my closet and organized some of the leftover I collected from the underground in the empty bins and boxes. I had a few containers left, but I could see about there being a storage room I could fit the rest. The culinary stuff could be brought down to the kitchen later.
I walk out of the closet to the glare of sunlight from the window. And, that's how you kill a few hours. I look to Dil to see he's still out cold. I wasn't even quiet. That flower can sleep like the dead. I decide to leave him be and get ready for the day. I lay out some cloths on the bathroom counter and grab a towel. The shower was real nice. I had only took a couple of quick ones since everything went down, to get the grime off. I made sure to take my time and get in all the little nooks and crannies in my bones. Ecto-hair was the easiest part since I could cheat and just unsummon it. Though, I did make sure to shampoo and condition it after. It makes it smell nicer. Once that was done, I got out and dried off. I put some of my homemade moisturizer on and braided my hair. I get dressed in a pair of dark blue jeans, green turtle-neck, and black boots. I throw on a red flower crown and my cyan hoodie. I'll have to clean my leather jacket later. It still had dust and blood on it. I grab the still sleeping Dil and make my way down to the kitchen. All the unpacking made me hungry. I'm skin and bones. Heh.
As I approach the stairs, I start to hear loud banging and crashing. I pick up my pace. Once I make it to the living room, I'm meet by what I could only call a war zone. Everything from the party was still out, but I could see that it was even more messy. Pillows and leftover popcorn was being thrown from each side of the room. Dust on one side, using the couch as cover. While Cross was on the other, hiding behind a pile of beanbags. Horror was having a fit about the food being thrown. Cinnamon was in the kitchen doorway looking conflicted on what to do. I decide to stop the chaos. I summon my ecto-tonge. And, perform a trick I worked hard to accomplish without lips. *High pitch whistle* "Alright! That's enough you two! Your going to give Horror and Cin a soul attack! I won't hesitate to crack some skulls! Stop the nonsense and clean this mess up!" I say in my "serious business" voice.
The two skeleton avoided eyelight contact and started cleaning the living room. Horror goes and starts collecting the leftover food. I walk over to Cin. "You need any help with breakfast?" I ask.
"Oh, Yes! I Was Going To Make Waffles and Drinks. I Would Appreciate The Help." They said.
"No problem. I'll get the mix. You can start the coffee maker. I remember where you showed me it was in the pantry." I tell them. I place Dil at the table and do just that.
So while the others were cleaning, we got to work. Probably about a half an hour later the castle was filled with the smell of food. Horror, Cross, and Dust came in after finishing their job and watched us cook. Ama and Lus came out and started roaming around. Once we were done we started to serve everything onto plates. I felt a small wave of negativity approaching. I look to see the a small procession of skeletons coming in and heading to the table. Horror and Dust join, while Cross helps us with bringing the food to the table. Chatting and laughter filled the room. The atmosphere pleasant, despite the general negativity coming off Nightmare. I hand said being a cup of black coffee, how Cinnamon said he liked it. He blushes at my presence, avoiding eyelight contact. I hold my own coffee carmel and chocolafied in my hand as I go sit down between Wine and Cin. Dil had woken up and was eating his food while all the ghosts play a game of tag above. I smile at how lively everything is. Despite the volume and the stray thrown food, the word family definitely described them all. I could get use to this.
