JISOO
"Now, let's move on to some of the smaller, but still very meaningful and hurtful stuff. Lee Taeyong."
I did expect him to get a tape because he was just a plane asshole. Taeyong was the type of boy that nobody likes, but since his father was rich and supports the school a lot, everyone pretends to like him.
I kind of felt bad for him really, but I understood why people didn't like him at the same time. He was very selfish and can seem pretty ignorant sometimes.
"I know you all know of Taeyong. He's very popular and he's kinda like our local mean boy.
This story is actually from before the whole Jongin thing, but it wasn't as important so I'm putting it out there now. Taeyong is no doubt a pretty boy, we all know that, but I - funnily enough - wasn't attracted to him. As you all know his father is also very wealthy and has a big influence on most things in this town. One day Taeyong asked me on a date, and since I didn't have either the heart or the guts to say no, I agreed to go to the cinema with him.''
I knew exactly how she must have felt. Before I came out as gay I also went on dates with boys who asked me because I just couldn't bring myself to say no. What if anyone suspected anything if I kept saying no to handsome boys?
"So we went and had a good time. At least until he leaned over toward the end of the movie to try and kiss me. I think he was expecting me to make the first move since that's the normal thing but of course, I didn't want to so he took initiative. But when I leaned away when his lips neared me he got offended. Of course, he felt embarrassed so he quickly found a way to embarrass me instead. He took my hand, stood up, and dragged me out of the movie theater. When we got to the cashier to buy tickets he told him that I had stolen the ticket I used plus that I had taken another man's wallet.
"Incredibly enough the cashier immediately believed him and so they had me stay in the cinema for hours and hours. At last, they concluded that they didn't need to call the police, but I had to pay them a good share of the money. By then Taeyong had been long gone, never once looking back.
"I find it unbelievable that just because another person isn't attracted to you or doesn't want to kiss you, you have to find some way to make their lives a tad bit harder. That's a messed up way to think. So, Taeyong, you didn't directly hurt me, but that doesn't mean you play any less of a role in the plot of me killing myself.
"Think of what you do to other people before you do it because every action brings consequences. You didn't know the full story of why I didn't want to kiss you, but the thing is, you didn't care. Because everything has to be revolving around you doesn't it? Whether that means hurting other people or finding absurd ways of getting attention."
I knew I did expect Taeyong to have done something awful, but I still got equally excited each time I heard what horrible things they'd done to Jennie. Because she didn't deserve any of it.
She had never as much as hurt a fly. But in today's society, it was a very common thing to just expect the worst from everyone else. And especially in places like high schools there existed nothing better than drama. Who cared if somebody got hurt or became the general victim of bullying for the next long period - as long as there was something to gossip about in the girls' bathroom?
As someone said; When life brings you lemons, find a way to squeeze the juice into someone's eyes.
