chapter five- the party

ashes/pov

'so you got to spend a night with each other'

I replied with

'yeah it was so nice he even let me put my head on his shoulder'

all of us were at lunch in the cafeteria as usual we were all socialising before delilah asked happily

'that's so sweet hey can I tell you guys something'

I said

'yeah sure what is it'

delilah glanced at cole and they both smiled at each other were they dating what was going on delilah finally announced excitedly

'me and cole are staring the main parts of a performance we're doing in three weeks time'

marinette exclaimed

'that's so cool hopefully will all get tickets to see you two lovebirds on stage'

delilah blushed awkwardly while looking at cole she then shouted

'WE'RE NOT LOVERS WE JUST TALK MOST OF THE TIME'

cole just laughs quietly before the bell started ringing cole got up and said

'looks like it's time for preforming arts class come on delilah'

they both grabbed each others hands before racing of to class all of us stared at them before we all got up and ran to our classes I was with peter we both sat down in our seats we only had a few minutes before class would start peter laughed

'there definitely going to be dating soon I know it'

I exclaimed

'yeah hopefully it happens I'd love to see delilah and cole together'

a few long hours later school had ended I was at peter's house helping out aunt may I was helping out with the dishes while she was putting them away in the wooden cupboards aunt may then reminded me

'oh ash remember your birthday is coming up soon have you got anything planned'

I dreaded my birthday now because of how my parents were they'd never celebrate it the only thing I'd do on my birthday is sit in my room all day and watch netflix I responded with sadly

'yeah I know I don't really have anything planned but I want to do something this year because I never do anything for my birthday anymore'

aunt may smiled at me before saying

'we could have some sort of party here we can invite delilah harry marinette and the rest of them how does that sound'

was she really doing this I wanted to cry right there on the spot but no tears formed in my eyes to make me shed any tears all I could say was

'that's sounds great thank you aunt may'

aunt may put the last of the dishes away before grinning brightly she closed the cupboard doors before replying happily

'no problem if you need anything else from me don't be afraid to ask'

harry's/pov

I was sitting at the dinning table like I usually did I kept on thinking about the lab my dad had hidden away I wanted to go back down there and explore every detail of it at some point I would have to go back down there suddenly blaire had entered the room she was holding a book in her hands she grinned at me before saying

'hi harry how was college sorry I didn't come down earlier I was reading this book and I kind of got carried away with it'

I mumbled

'it's fine'

blaire didn't say anything after that she just sat at the table to continuing reading whatever interesting book she was reading the room stayed silent for a few minutes before my phone started to ring I glanced at my phone quickly it was ash I accepted the call and said boldly

'hello'

ash exclaimed excitedly

'hey harry sorry if this is a bad time right now but you know how my birthday is coming up soon and I never celebrate it because of my parents'

I quickly responded with

'yeah'

ash continued

'well aunt may has set up a party for me and I was going to ask if you'd like to come'

I didn't feel like going but I'd go anyways because I didn't want people to think I was a loner who'd stay home all day and do nothing I replied with

'sure I'll come along when is it'

ash explained

'it's next week on a saturday anyways I have to go see you tomorrow'

the call then ended and I was back to my grumpy self blaire asked

'who were you talking to'

I explained

'oh it was just ash she's invited to her party next week'

before blaire said anything she quickly marked where she was in her book and closed it before saying excitedly

'that's cool can I come along'

I grumbled

'no you'll embarrass me like you did on the first day of college'

I could see in blaires eyes she was going to rip me to shreds blaire finally lost it and shouted

'LISTEN I'M TWENTY FUCKING YEARS OLD I'M STILL A TEEN INSIDE IF YOU DON'T INVITE ME WE'RE GOING TO HAVE PROBLEMS'

I could help but flinch I didn't know blaire would lose her shit with me just so she'd get what she wanted I sighed and mumbled

'fine you can come'

blaire smiled before saying sweetly

'thank you harry'

she then left the room to go upstairs to possibly read or do something else as I still sat there doing nothing before I left the room to chill in my room
