chapter fourteen- the chasing

an hour had passed and I finally finished the homework I closed the book and put it in my bag all of a sudden I heard a growl from the tower I heard the bell ring loudly as it echoed through the church I decided to see what it was I got up and made my way over to the stairs I began creeping up to where the bell was I made it up to the bell I could see harry he looked awful his skin was pure black that had me thinking he must've been venom the way I saw him was horrifying he was trying his best to get rid of it but nothing was working I still remained low just so I didn't have to deal with him alone I heard him shout

'GET OFF ME THIS ISN'T WHAT I WANTED'

I was starting to get concerned I wanted this wiped away from my memory I remembered I had to meet up with marinette so I began creeping back down the wooden stairs suddenly my fear came to life one of the stairs creaked harry grumbled

'hello is someone there'

all of a sudden venom took over his body as I heard him scream

'WHO'S THERE'

the scream frightened me so I began racing down the stairs I heard venom behind me I managed to run out the church and cemetery as I continued running until I was kind of back in the city everyone else was watching in horror as they started to run away as well my feet were getting tired and my breath was getting weaker as soon as that happened I was grabbed tightly by venom I screamed

'HEY GET OFF ME'

he ignored me as he pulled me away from society I was taken to the statue of liberty where venom climbed to the top and growled

'you've ruined my life for the worst so I'll ruin yours if you don't date me'

I tried to process everything that was going through my head venom was so close to me my heart was beating quickly as I yelled

'I WOULD NEVER DATE YOU YOU'VE GOT AN EVIL HEART AND I'VE ALREADY GOT AN AMAZING BOYFRIEND THAT'S BETTER THAN YOUR DISGUSTING PERSONALITY'

I could see in his eyes something was going to happen venom stepped closer and closer to the edge where I was at this moment I felt like I was going to fall and die at the bottom I squinted my eyes tightly before I heard spidermans voice shout from above

'hey big guy it's nice to see you again what are you causing this time'

he landed on the statue of liberty as I smiled thankfully he dodged venoms attacks so he could grab me and bring me to safety he then explained to me seriously but also quietly while venom was attempting to climb down

'listen love I have to go back up there there's a police boat there so please get on that they'll bring you to safety I do hope to make it out alive'

tears formed into my eyes I whispered

'but I need you I don't want you getting hurt please don't do this'

he hugged me for a second before he whispered back quickly

'I know babe I love you'

he ran off back to fight venom as I got onto the boat I looked at the fight that was happening as the boat was getting further away from the statue of liberty I cried silently to myself as I got off the boat to walk to the library

I arrived at the library I snuck in to see marinette reading silently in the corner of the library she looked up at me before whispering calmly

'hi ash glad you could make it what's the matter'

I was still crying silently I couldn't form a word I was to upset with the situation without thinking marinette and I went into the singular bathroom she locked the door before asking

'ok what is going you clearly look upset what's happened'

I exhaled before explaining

'well you heard that I went to the cemetery well after I finished some homework I heard a noise from the tower so I decided to investigate venom heard me and began chasing after me he took me too the top of the statue of liberty before spiderman saved me and I'm really worried he's going to get hurt'

marinette hugged me for a few seconds before replying

'I know you're upset about that but heroes do tend to get hurt he'll be ok I promise we've just got to wait till the fights over'

I wiped away the tears from my eyes marinette smiled at me sweetly her eyes beamed before she said

'anyways do you want to do a bit of shopping will be careful that venom doesn't try and catch you again'

I nodded my head innocently we both left the library and started to wonder round the city I still had one thought on my mind was peter ok I kind of shrugged it off because I didn't want to think about it it was too heartbreaking to think about as me and marinette got to the first small shop she glanced over at me before saying

'hey should we go in here they've got some really nice jewellery in there'

I replied

'yeah sure'
