chapter thirty six- my enemy

ashes/pov

my jaw completely dropped as my dad took off spidermans mask peter's eyes suddenly shot open I wasn't expecting what he'd do next he knocked my dad on the ground before shooting webs at the swat team and cops all of a sudden one of the gun slid into the alleyway I knew this was possibly peter's idea so I quickly grabbed the gun while the action was still happening in front of me before I hid back in the same spot I was in at that moment my dad yelled as it echoed across the city

'FREEZE'

silence spread across the drama immediately my dad then added sternly

'GET DOWN ON THE GROUND PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND YOUR HEAD NOW'

I peaked out sneakily to see what was happening peter glanced round at my dad who was in complete shock my dad mumbled

'parker'

peter responded

'your daughter's in danger that's if you care venom is after her and trying to find her'

tears filled up my eyes as my dad grumbled

'your under arrest for causing disruption in the city will handle venom we're capable of doing it this is why the cops were here in the first place'

this was my time to say what I had to say or else nothing would be done against venom

'NO DON'T TOUCH HIM'

I ran out of the alleyway and aimed the gun at my father I knew this would count as murder but at this moment all I cared about was getting peter to the church where venom was supposedly at my dad had another shocked look on his face as he shouted

'I CAN AND I WILL IT'S MY JOB YOU CAN'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO'

I wouldn't let that count as my defeat not now I didn't want to shout at him I didn't have the energy to be doing this I explained in a serious tone

'listen if we don't get to the church venom will continue causing destruction in the city we just want life to go back to normal'

my dad didn't say anything I was predicting he wasn't going to let peter continue this battle peter mumbled

'you've gotta let me go'

peter picked up his mask that was on the ground and put it on I was still standing there with the gun in my hands as he got up off the ground and swung off but my dad was going to do something to ruin everything he aimed his gun at peter before taking the shot which hit peter in the thigh I shouted at my dad

'WHY THE FUCK DID YOU DO THAT DO YOU WANT HIM DEAD'

the cops swat team and my dad all looked at me the city felt death silent they obviously had to know Peter was in danger at this moment he has just been shot by my dad who practically didn't give a fuck about my feelings my dad suddenly grabbed hold of me tightly before forcefully chucking me to the cold ground I knew he was going to lose his job for what he did I glanced up at him as I was trying to hold back tears so I wouldn't look like a crybaby  but I also felt furious I wanted to get my revenge so I kicked him hard in the stomach before running away and not daring to looking back the only thing I heard him scream was

'YOU ARE A EMBARRASSMENT DO YOU HEAR ME YOU ARE A EMBARRASSMENT I'M TELLING YOUR MOTHER AFTER I'VE FINISHED MY SHIFT'

I couldn't care less what he was going to do after his shift all I wanted to do was get to the church and end it all with venom

peters/pov

I managed to escape the cops and swat team but I was thinking to myself I wasn't going to make it to the church I was shot in the thigh I couldn't hold back the bleeding not now I'd have to stop off at a building or something I found a nearby building but instead of doing what I'd usually do I smashed into a window luckily I managed to keep my grip as I moved slowly up the buildings walls I saw down below millions and millions of people were evacuating the city I could see venom destroying more buildings around me as I tried staying down low I then tried swinging to the next building I felt weak and I couldn't grab the top of the edge so I fell roughly onto the perron it felt like someone was stopping me getting up but I still managed to climb to the top of the building as I could see the cranes in the distance I quickly looked down at my thigh as it was still bleeding I shot a web on it it would have to do for now  I glanced back at the cranes I whispered to myself

'I can do this I've just got to push myself'

I then began to run I was still limping but I prayed to myself I was going to make it once I was sort of at the edge of the building I immediately shot a web hoping the web would reach one of the cranes I suddenly noticed I was plummeting down probably to my death but my luck came true one of the cranes saved me I sighed in relief I thought this was going to be the day I died trying to save the city but thankfully that crane saved me all I have to do now was swing to the church and save everyone from venom
