Stevie reached for her unfinished glass of champagne and knocked it back. She ran a hand through her hair and shifted in her seat to face Lindsey. He looked at her, seemingly afraid to hear what was about to come out of her mouth.

"What is it that you would like me to say exactly, Lindsey?" Stevie spoke up. "This is the last thing I expected coming here tonight."

"I know." Lindsey nodded and moved a bit closer to her. "I know and I completely understand that you can't make any sort of a decision right now. All I want is for you to give me something. Just tell me if there's even a chance or if I'm being totally crazy."

"You're..." Stevie sighed, shaking her head. She smiled a little, she covered his hand with hers. "You're not crazy. Things have been better lately considering how fucked up our relationship is."

"Yeah, well..." Lindsey agreed laughing lightly. "It's exhausting not knowing what this-" He showed between them. "Is. You can't deny that you still have feelings for me and I've just told you, I'm still in love with you. At some point along the way, we gave up on us. We just gave up because that was the easy thing to do. I think, we were wrong. We are wrong for not fighting for what we truly want."

"And was is that?" Stevie asked, cocking her head to one side, waiting for him to answer.

"We're meant to be together." Lindsey simply said. "We got lost in all the bullshit that comes with becoming famous. We drifted apart, but the way we feel in here..." He placed his hand on her chest above her heart. "That's never going to change."

"How- how can you be sure that I feel the same?" She wasn't telling him otherwise, but it made her wonder. "For all you know, I might have moved on a long time ago."

"You wouldn't be here tonight, you wouldn't still be listening to me if you had." Lindsey shrugged. "I'm not asking you to say that we can be a couple again. I'm not asking you to- to-" Lindsey sighed. "All I'm asking is for you to think about it. I opened my heart, I'm not holding anything back. If you decide that you don't want me anymore, I'll accept that, but there will no longer be any kind of us. We can work together, we can try being friends, but... there won't be an us in a romantic sense because I can't keep doing this anymore, Stevie. It tears me apart every single time when I have to walk out of your room in the middle of the night, when we have to act as if we're strangers around other people. I hate it. I hate pretending that I don't love you."

Her eyes brimmed with tears and she hung her head low. She felt his arm wrap around her shoulders and she leaned into him, he pressed a kiss to her hair. He heard her sniffle and gently gripped her chin to tilt her head up.

"We have less than two weeks left of this tour." Lindsey continued. "I promise, I won't push you for any kind of answer, but we can..." He shrugged. "Treat the time we have left as a test. See if we can and if we want to fix our relationship after everything that's been said tonight."

"You'd be alright with that?" Stevie asked, sounding hopeful. "I mean... what if I-"

"No." Lindsey shook his head. "No decision are being made right now, okay? I'm willing to try." He emphasized laying a hand on his chest.

Stevie remained silent for a moment. It made sense, everything that Lindsey had said. He wasn't asking for much, was he? She gave a small nod and a smile tugged at her lips. "Okay."
