Bettys POV
My dad found out about the cat easily but it was fine. We got to Riverdale as I held the cat I named Jasper in my hands.

We got back home and I sighed as my dad said "try to get along okay?"

I frowned and said "do you still love mom?"

He smiled saying "feelings like love don't go away that easily."

I smiled and he did too as I frowned and we knocked on the door.

We saw my mom and she smiled and said "Hal, Betty."

I smiled and she hugged me and I held her and she said "come in."

She allowed us in as I looked around, not much had actually changed, or so I thought it wasn't until I had seen Mr Jones walk down the stairs and I gulped as my dad held me back.

"Harold Cooper..."

My dad replied "Forsyth Pendleton Jones Jr..."

I frowned and he smiled "hello Elizabeth."

My dad told him "may I remind you you're not allowed to talk to my daughter."

He smirked and said "oh my apologies...still just as stuck up since the 80's lighten up a bit Hal."

He walked past us and I said "can we go?"

He sighed and my mom said "come on sit."

I frowned as I saw Mr Jones than realized... suddenly I heard the door and I turned seeing Jughead with red head clinging onto him as they kissed and my heart sank right to my feet and my throat closed up.

He turned seeing me and said "Betty?"

I gulped and tried to hold in any emotion and said "dad...may I please go see Veronica?"

He sighed and I said "please?"

He nodded and said "have Stewart take you."

I nodded and I said "nice seeing you Jughead..."

He smiled and I just stared at him, he was normal...not sad or upset like I thought. He truly moved on...

When I got outside I saw Stewart and I began crying "can you just drive me somewhere? Anywhere? Please?"

He frowned and nodded as he helped me in and I began crying as I held my face to sob into my hands.

Soon we were at the bridge as he said "your father told me when you were younger, you used to love this place..."

I smiled and nodded as I looked at the lake saying "I was right....Romeo and Juliet. Never make it."

I frowned and he said "I'm sorry Ms Cooper...I had given you false hope."

I said "it's not your fault...it's...it's all mine... maybe if I hadn't over reacted my mom and dad would still be together...Jughead and I would've still been together..."
