Bettys POV
Today was prom, I'm here in New York as my mom zipped up the back of my dress and smiled looking at me.

"You're the most beautiful girl ever."

I smiled as she took photos and I laughed saying "alright, alright."

She said "are you sure you want to go? You can stay."

I laughed saying "I need some sense of normalcy, besides, Veronica has already said she's coming since they had their prom last week, and Archie can live a few days without her."

I informed her as I clipped on my earrings. She smiled and kissed my head of hair that was all pulled back into a low ponytail. As I went downstairs and saw my dad he began tearing up.

I sighed out "god dad..."

He smiled and said "my little girl is all grown up, soon you'll be going to college...all alone."

I sighed and hugged him as he held me.

I rubbed his back as I said "alright guys calm down."

That's when I got Veronica's message and smiled "Veronica's here."

I smiled and went to the elevator and went down, I saw the limo and smiled seeing Smithers as he opened the door and I suddenly saw Jughead and he stared at me and smiled holding flowers with a corsage in a box.

He said "hey..."

I small smile appeared on my face as I said "hey..."

He smiled seeing me explaining "Veronica said...she shouldn't be the one to come and that...you should have the best prom of your life. I didn't think you'd want me here and I tried explaining that but...we know Veronica."

I nodded softly as he opened the box and wrapped the corsage around my wrist and I stared at him as he looked at me with our eyes connecting. He gulped and grabbed the box again taking out his boutonnière and I smiled clipping it onto his suit.

He said "shall we?"

I nodded and he smiled opening the car door and helping me in. As we arrived at the dance and walked in we were sitting down eating, it was kinda strange, awkward, we didn't really know what to do or how to act as we ate a slow song started and I smiled as I turned to Jughead as he played on his phone. I sighed until suddenly I saw Jake walk up to me and hold out his hand.

"Do you want too?"

I smiled looking at his hand and then back at him saying "I'd love too."

I held it and Jughead noticed as I walked over with Jake. As Jake spun me I let out a small laugh holding him.

He said "you and your date isn't really going as expected."

I sighed and said "not exactly...it's just...I'm worried..."

He asked "why?"

I told him "I'm scared...I'm scared that... something else will come and hurt our trust."

He sighed and explained "but that's what relationships are all about, you have to gain the trust and even with so many things crashing down at the both of you, you need to remember...that's what makes you stronger, the fact you two can get along and not scream and shout at one another but come here together and are not arguing...it shows the growth."
