Chapter 2 💜

Amara and Lena are walking to the hallway however Amara's attention was elsewhere hoping to accidentally see a certain guy. However her attention was taken when Lena asked, "Amara, there's so many men here. Is there anybody here that caught your attention?"

"Um..." Amara couldn't answer. It was an easy question but she couldn't answer and she didn't know why.

"Hey, the cafeteria is near. We should hurry or else the line will be long." Amara said to divert the topic and pulled Lena to the cafeteria.

Lena ordered a Caesar Salad, garlic bread, and a pineapple juice while Amara ordered burger steak with rice and an orange juice.

"Hey you've been so quiet today. I know we just met today but I just wanna be sure nothing is bothering you. If it's me you can tell me." Lena stated

"No no no. Its not that I'm just thinking about my partner I don't have any mode of communication and we have an activity though the deadline is still long but I want to be able to reach him." Amara said there was no lie she was his partner but at the same time it was not the whole truth.

"Really? Is he not in the gc I think they already finished creating one" Lena replied

"Wait! What? I didn't know." Amara said

"Maybe it's in your message request you might wanna check." Lena once again replied

"Oh yeah! wait imma check the chat members." Amara stated

Amara checked every single name in the chat members but to her dismay there was no Gerald Gonzales.

"Hey why the sad face Amara?" Lena asked

"Nothing, it's just he's not in the gc." Amara replied

"Maybe he's not yet added or it's still in his message request you know that the gc was just created like an hour ago I think so let's just eat before the food get's cold. Ok?" Lena said

"Yeah your right plus we gonna need the food we have PATHFIT later all I know is that it sounds like P.E." Amara said

With that they ate their food with time to spare before their next class they both decided to go for a walk in their school campus.

"Hey Lena I'm gonna go to the rooftop I want to take a picture of the scenery do you want to join?" Amara asked

"Sure you can go ahead first I need to make a trip to the bathroom." Lena replied

"Oh, do you want me to wait for you in the bathroom?" Amara suggested

"No. It's alright I will be quick and meet with you go ahead." Lena stated

"Ok I will be waiting for you." Amara said

And they went their separate ways as Amara was opening the doors to the rooftop he saw a boy and not just any boy but Gerald he was staring at the scenery and she was watching him until the door created a sound when it closed that made Gerald look behind and saw her. Then Amara panicked and slowly walked beside him. It was silent for a few minutes but Amara was determined to start a conversation so she sprouted the first thing she thought.

"So... umm..." Amara was suddenly mental blocked that made Gerald tilt his head to her

"Um... Yo-you know that we-were partners in art appreciation r-right?" Amara mentally cursed for stuttering while Gerald nodded his head

*He's conservative with words* Amara thought

"I know you don't want to talk about it yet because the deadline is still far but I just wanna ask how I can talk to you about our activity. I tried finding your account in the gc but I couldn't find it no-not that I am stalking I-I just want to have a means of communication." Amara said her head looking at the ground while fiddling with her fingers

Amara was blushing in embarrassment with what she said. Then he suddenly took something off his pocket which was his phone and opened it after he showed Amara his cellphone on the screen was his Facebook. She stared at it for a few seconds then Gerald click the search button and that's when Amara understood what she was supposed to do. So she took his phone and typed her name in the search bar with her head down to hide her blushing face. As she found her account name she clicked it and gave the phone back to Gerald. After he got his phone he clicked the friend request and showed it to Amara. She then heard the notification sound on her phone and took it out the first thing she did after opening it was to accept the friend request after she successfully did it a notification popped up and a chat head from her best friend Lena

Hey girl I coincidentally saw our PATHFIT professor, and I think he is heading to the classroom you should go down now. I will save you a seat 💜

Amara Abad

Ok ok I will be right there. Thanks 💜

Gerald was looking at the conversation the whole time without her noticing and when Amara sent the message she looked up and then for the third time they met each other's gaze not that Amara was counting.

"U-um... Um I think we, I mean the both of us should now go to class." Amara mentally cursing

Gerald nodded his head and they walked to the door, him opening the door for Amara and going to class as fast as possible without running. At last they made it in the classroom without being late. Amara finds her best friend who was seated in the front while Gerald is lucky that no one took the seat beside the window so they went their separate ways to their seats but Lena won't let the coincidence they arrived at the same time go away.

"So tell me what's going on between you and Gerald hmmm." Lena teasing

"You can't just coincidentally just come in at the same time I won't believe you." Lena added

"Um... we accidentally met at the rooftop. I didn't know he was there if I know I.." Amara couldn't continue

"You will what Amara. Maybe it was meant to be for me not to come with you so you can have some alone time. So what did you talk about and don't you dare miss a single detail." Lena said

"We just became friends on Facebook so we can talk about the activity. Then you suddenly chatted so we went down right ahead." Amara explained

"Really? That's all? Tsk. Well we have the whole sem to make progress." Lena stated

"Wait, what?" Amara asked

"Oh hey there's the professor" Lena said

But behind them they didn't notice was a man glancing at them.

*This will be an interesting sem* Gerald thought looking at the window
