Chapter 13 💜

Morning has arrived is what Arama is hoping to happen, but she is still in bed with her thoughts. Now that time has passed her thoughts were now composed and as she was recalling what happened she remembered Gerald's words.

*Flashback*

"I may be alone, but it was my choice and it's for the better to be alone means there are no toxic people, fake friends, everything."

"Let's face it there is no human being that can understand the depths of the hearts of others. They only pretend to understand."

If Amara wasn't clouded with anger in that moment, she would have felt sad because his words weren't just that it was like from his experience and even if she tried, she couldn't just ask why he said that because it was already too late, and with everything that happened the argument, running away she couldn't. After minutes of thinking Amara fell asleep with the thought of what happened to Gerald's past to say such things without a second thought.

Morning came and Amara immediately fixed herself. She wanted to be early so she could apologize as early as possible with that she ate and bid goodbye to her parents. She already told Lena she will be early so they might not be able to go together. Amara was now in the campus and went straight to their room but to her expectation Gerald was not there she then went to the rooftop hoping he was there, but he was not.

*Maybe I am too early, and he's still not arrived at school* Amara thought

Minutes passed and he didn't see Gerald gone through the gates and classes were near, so she had no choice but to go to the classroom hoping he was there, but he wasn't.

"I thought you were going to be here early, but I am here earlier than you." Lena said while Amara was sitting beside her a spot Lena saved for her

"I was on the rooftop the whole time." Amara replied

"Why do you look sad did something happen?" Lena asked

"I'll tell you after class." Amara said

"Why aren't we sitting with Luke and Jay?" Amara asked

"Ahhhh... you see when I arrived there were no more seats available beside them, so I had no choice but to choose this one." Lena answered but there was a far more reason she chose not to seat beside them.

"Now that I am thinking what happened on Saturday hmmmm?" Amara asked

"Well... you see..." Lena couldn't answer

"I'm guessing your time with Matt was fun." Amara said

Lena signed, "Let's say things didn't go as you think." she said

Amara had a confused face when she heard Lena's words.

"I'll explain after classes." Lena added

After a few seconds Mrs. Varela entered the room, and the students greeted them. Amara on the other hand before sitting down looked at the back where Gerald would sit every class and it was vacant.

"Ok class I would expect everyone to have finished their essay about the task I had given last week, correct?" Mrs. Varela asked

"Yes Ma'am" the students replied

"Very good then each pair will go in front and summarize your essay especially for those who have made more than 1 page both can summarize their essay or one of them can it is also fine but before you do you must show the art you chose." Mrs. Varela instructed

"Ok let's start with you Mr. sitting at the 2nd row in the back." Mrs. Varela said

The students looked at the back and it was Luke who was pointing his finger at his face.
