Chapter 19 💜

Amara finished going to the bathroom, but she was now lost because she was not familiar with the campus, and no one was around to ask so she walked to where she thinks is the right way.

"You can't be angry at me forever!" A woman said in anger

"It's not my fault and I already said sorry, why can't you just forget about it." The woman added more angrier

"AHHHH! You're so despicable!" The woman said before completely leaving

"Who's out there, come out now." The man said

"U-ummm I'm sorry I didn't mean to eavesdrop." Amara said with her head low

"I was just going to the bathroom and got lost and accidentally got here and and..." Amara looked up and saw a man he didn't think he would meet today.

"Let's go, I'll show you to the court." Gerald said

They walked in silence.

"I-I am sorry." Amara apologized

Gerald just kept walking

"I'm sorry about running away." Amara added

"When? The time you ran away when went to the museum or the time you gave me the medicine. You have a habit of running away. I'm shocked you didn't run this time after everything you heard." Gerald said stopping from walking to look at Amara

"Both. I'm sorry I didn't mean to run away the first time I was just offended. I do tend to smile a lot but I'm not faking it and the second time was because you told me to go home but I really wanted to give you medicine." Amara explained

Gerald sighed at her answer, "I'm sorry I didn't mean that you were faking a smile, let's say I was fooled by a smile like that in the past now I hate them." he said, rubbing his neck and continuing to walk.

"I hope you can forgive me." Amara said.

Gerald sighed once again, "Let's get you back to your friends, they might be worried about you."

Amara held the hem of Gerald's t-shirt.

"I'm really sorry I won't run away in the future please give me another chance." Amara pleaded looking at Gerald's eyes.

"Fine." Gerald said looking away at Amara's eyes

"Thank you! Thank you!" Amara said with a smile from ear to ear.

After a few more seconds they were back in the game and Amara was going to return to her seat with Gerald in the back. Suddenly a ball was flying in Amara's direction. In a split-second Gerald was able to catch the ball with ease. Amara was shocked the ball was just a few inches in her face and the only thing that was stopping it from hitting her was Gerald's hands.

"Get back to your seat while it's still safe." Gerald whispered at Amara's ears

Amara nodded and walked fast to return to her seat. Gerald threw the ball at the referee and left the court.

"Are you alright Amara?" Lena asked

"Yeah." Amara answered

"I was so worried about you." Lena said hugging her

"Who is he?" Violet asked

"He's from our class his name is Gerald." Amara answered

"Hmmmm." Violet said

The game ended and Luke and Jay's team won. The three of them hugged and jumped as they were happy, they won. Luke and Jay waved their arms at the girls.

"Let's go outside and wait for them for sure they will change before going." Violet said

"How can you be sure?" Lena said
