"We aren't going anywhere until you explain what just happened while I was gone." Amara said

Lena sighed, "Well you see when me and Matt were making our activity it didn't go as planned."

"Yeah, you did say that to me but what really happened?" Amara asked

"Well, you see we were doing our activity mostly me and I didn't realize the time and it was getting late I was just grateful Jay came-" Lena said before being cut off

"Wait Jay came?!" Amara said in shock

"Yeah, he came all the way to the café and accompanied me all the way home." Lena said

"Then what about a while ago you were together?" Amara asked

"Matt didn't take everything well about what happened which is why he wanted to do something bad but luckily Jay was here, or I don't know what would have happened." Lena replied

"But nothing happened and that's what matters so how about you what happened you've been feeling gloomy since morning?" Lena asked

"You see me, and Gerald had an argument that led to me running away and lost." Amara replied

"Wait lost so how did you get home?" Lena asked

"Well, Gerald looked for me and accompanied me all the way home." Amara said

"Wait! Really?" Lena asked

"Yeah." Amara said nodding

"He is such a gentleman even having an argument he still accompanied you home he is perfect man for my ship I made the right decision in life." Lena said

"Oh no! look at the time I need to go home. My family have been strict with me going home early about what happened last time you know so I have to go now." Lena added

"Okay be safe." Amara said waving her hand

Amara's plan failed before it even started, she even thought she could ask Lena to come with her and give the papers to Gerald but now she don't know what to do but one thing is for sure she has to give the papers today with that she went off and looked for Gerald's house. While looking at the address Amara was now standing in front of an apartment. Amara took a deep breath before knocking after a few seconds the door opened and revealed a pale man.

"Why are you here?" Gerald asked

"Oh-ahhh you see Mrs. Varela asked me to give you these papers and said you should pass your excuse letter when you come back to school." Amara answered

After hearing that Gerald took the papers and was about to close the door when Amara suddenly said, "Ah wait-" however she was cut off because of a sneeze.

"I don't want you to get a cold as well so you should leave." Gerald said as he completely closed the door.

Minutes passed when there was another knock at the door and Gerald even not feeling too well had no choice but to stand up again. He opened the door and saw Amara once again.

"I'm sorry to bother you but here." Amara said, giving a plastic to Gerald's hands before running away.

Gerald looked at the plastic in his hands. It was filled with medicine for a cold, food, and watered bottle with that he closed the door and heated up the food he received to drink the medicine then rested up.

On the other hand, Amara was having a mental breakdown. She just ran away when she told herself she would apologize to Gerald today, but she was contemplating if she should go back and apologize but he was sick, and it was not the right time. In the end she couldn't apologize and went home. She told herself she would apologize when he is no longer sick at school.

Amara got home and did her assignments once it's done, she laid in her bed and was scrolling to her phone when a notification popped up.

He caught a common cold

Well, that would have been expected it was raining cats and dogs that time you were lucky you didn't get caught in the rain.

Wait really! I didn't know it was raining that day it was super sunny that time

Well, when I was in the café it was raining hard

No, it's nothing. I think it's partially my fault because he has a cold today.

If he didn't accompany me home, he wouldn't have caught a cold and would've been able to come to classes.

But still nothing he was the one who wanted to do it and if we think it through would he really go home not knowing you're not home then he is not a standard of a man for my ship

He's just concerned it is late and knows Matt too well and what might happen. I am thankful for what he did.

Amara then let go of her cellphone and hid under her pillow until it was dinner time, and they ate. After that she helped with the dishes and went back to her room and went to sleep.
