Picture above is Alyssa

Kayla and I ended up hanging out for awhile before the picnic. Apparently she was tired of hearing about Kendra's drama. I don't blame her really.

We were dressed and ready to head down to the beach for the picnic when Kayla's phone was ringing. The contact game that was across the screen was Kendra's.

Kayla rolled her eyes and answered.

Her eyes went wide and held the phone away from her ear.

"Woah slow down. He is dating who?"

"Oh ew Victoria."

"She's gonna be at the picnic? Great."

"I'll see you there."

Kayla hung up and sighed.

"Apparently Gabe broke up with Kendra and now he's dating Victoria. She's a total slut and you'll meet her at the beach."

"When did this happen?" I asked her.

Just awhile ago we were walking on the beach together and he didn't want Kendra to know about our kiss.

"Like a second ago." She said, not impressed.

"Why would he do that to someone?" I asked, confused.

Kayla's face softened, knowing I didn't understand him.

"Oh honey, he just moves from one girl to another all the time. I tried to tell Kendra he'd drop her when he got bored but she denied it and said she actually loved him. I kind of believed her at first because Kendra is basically the same as Gabe but she seemed sincere. Oh well." She shrugged after she explained his routine.

"Wow what a prick." I breathed out.

Kayla laughed at my commented and pulled me out of my house.

Aunt and Uncle are only home during night all this week so they gave me the keys for the house when I'm gone.

Since Gabe and I walked to the beach this morning, I remembered where to go and how to get there. I know Kayla is with me but I still want to feel as if I know where to go.

A nice breeze came and it ruffled my blue and pink floral skirt. I had on a white tank top as well that was tucked into the skirt.

"It's probably going to rain." Kayla commented looking up at the sky.

Dark clouds were coming in slow and the breeze wasn't that fast yet. I was used to the rain. It rained all the time in Wisconsin.

But, from the frown on Kayla's face, I could tell she wasn't looking forward to it.

We walked onto the hot sand and took off our flip flops before continuing forward.

I noticed Alex and Kendra sitting at a towel on the sand so I started towards them.

"They're over here." I said to Kayla.

She nodded and went straight to Kendra.

Her face looked like death. There were dark circles under her eyes and I could tell she had been crying. She must've really liked him.

What a jerk.

"Hey guys." I smiled at both of them.

To my surprise, they both hugged me.

I don't think I will ever get used to affection.

My parents weren't very keen with affection and they were always working. It didn't mean that we never spent time together. Every once in a while we would just play around and have fun. Even my brother was never close to me and I need him now more than ever.
