Picture above is Gabe.

A piano and a guitar. They were both engraved with my parent's names. Tears fell from my face and I pulled my aunt and uncle into a big hug.

This caught them by surprise because I don't normally hug people. I cannot believe they got me a guitar and a piano. They didn't even know that I sing as far as I know. I had just gotten home from that horrid picnic to this.

I don't know why I'm crying. I don't cry.

Since I have moved here, I've been way more emotional than normal. Of course, certain people have heightened it.

"Thanks Aunt Laura and Uncle Lucas. I love you so much." I said, trying to redeem myself from my outburst of crying.

"Oh honey, your welcome. Mrs. Gordon told us about how she heard you sing at her house the other day. We wanted to get you gift since we don't see you that often." My aunt told me.

Oh so Mrs. Gordon told them.

"Well thanks so much. I was actually wondering if there was a lacrosse team here during the summer? Back at home I played and I miss it already." I asked.

"Oh yeah there is. If you go down to the soccer field, they have a sports department there. You can sign up tomorrow, it's open at 9." Uncle Lucas answered.

Coolio. Now how will I get to this sports department? I really don't know where many things at all are.

"Would either of you be able to bring me? I don't really know where anything is."

"Oh Alyssa we would but that leads to the next thing we were going to talk to you about. We are going on vacation to Hawaii for a week. We meant to cancel but it's non-refundable. Matilda will be here or I can call your brother to stay with you? Maybe you can stay with the Gordons! Oh yes! That's what I'll do. I'm going to call." Aunt Laura swiftly walked away on her phone.

I looked to Uncle Lucas."You guys are going on vacation?"

"Yeah. I'm sorry kiddo. How are you holding up?"

"Uh okay I guess. Mike was doing worse last time I checked though."

"He called here the other day. Matilda answered but no one was home. I think he misses you."

I snorted. "He left without saying goodbye."

"Maybe you should call him and give him a chance. He's hurting too."

Before I could respond, Aunt Laura barged back in.

"So I called Carol, Mrs. Gordon, and she said it's perfect that you stay with them! They have a guest room that they are getting ready for you. We are leaving in five minutes so, you should pack your stuff to bring over. Matilda is now also getting the week off so no one will be home."

"Uh thanks Auntie Laura but I can just stay here alone. I will be fine."

"Nonsense. I don't want you being alone and griefing. I've heard too many stories about people breaking in and ."

"I won't get hurt. I promise." I chuckled.

"Well you're still staying with them. I would feel a lot more comfortable if you did."

I sighed. "Okay I guess."

Aunt Laura squealed and hugged me. "Thank you. Now off you go. Pack your stuff and we'll walk you over."

I smiled and walked up to my room.

I really don't want to stay with the Gordons. I don't have a problem with them, really. Gavin is a nice kid and Mrs. Gordon is super nice. It's also cool how she is a music teacher. I haven't met Mr. Gordon yet but I'm sure he's nice. The only problem is that there's Gabe.
