Do you ever just have a great sleep but someone has to go off and ruin it?

I came home right after that drunken kiss and watched a movie with aunt and uncle. I love them both and I've always been close with them but living here, with them, is awkward. They are loving and kind and are trying very hard.

It's just that I want to be alone and cry forever. I've only cried once since it happened and that was when I played the piano at the Gordon's.

Dang, that kid did something to me.

I groaned, feeling someone shake me lightly.

I opened my eyes to be greeted by who? Yeah the grief causer himself.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, alarmed.

"Let's go for a walk. We need to talk." He whispered.

"Did you climb in from the balcony?" I gestured to the now agape door.

"It doesn't matter. Now come on, get dressed."

"Breaking and entering is a crime you know." I pushed further.

To my surprise, Gabe ripped the blankets off me and pulled me out of bed.

"Okay okay. I'm going."

I walked into the bathroom and put on blue Nike shorts and put on a lacrosse t shirt. I literally have tons and they are good to work out in anyways.

I brushed my teeth quick and then put my hair up in a messy bun. I decided to not even put make up on because it's 8 in the morning.

Who's awake?

I walked out and Gabe stood up.

"Finally. You took so long to just look like that."

"Haha. Now why did you want me to wake up?"

"Follow me." Gabe stated, leading the way down the hall.

"Like did you live here or something? Man, it's creepy how you know my house." I whispered.

He chuckled and it made me smile.

We made our way out the front door and walked side by side.

It was silent for a while until we walked down to the beach.

I've always loved beaches. I would only ever see them whenever we went on vacations though. I've never visited Aunt Laura and Uncle Lucas before now, however, it feels like I was meant to live here.

I know, weird.

"This beach is gorgeous." I breathed, as we walked along the water.

"Uh yeah I guess." Gabe muttered.

"You can tell me now what it is that made you wake me up." I started.

Gabe sighed and stopped in his tracks.

I turned and looked at him.

There was regret in his eyes.

Crap.

"Alyssa, you are great and all but uh last night... The kiss... It meant nothing. Don't tell Kendra or anyone else that may possibly tell. I was drunk and if I was sober I would never have done it."

Ow..... Okay that hurt... A lot.

"Got it." I mumbled.

"Well thanks for caring for Gavin. He likes you."

"Mhm."

Gabe must have sensed my discomfort because his face contorted, as if he was annoyed.

"Look, my friends and I are going to hang out here. You can come with so that you aren't shriveling up into a corpse in your bed."

"That would be fun I guess. I'm friends with Kayla, Alex, and Sam anyways. They told me to come here today before you just did."

Yeah they texted me in a group chat last night about today. They had already invited me so Gabe didn't even get a say. Neither did Kendra so if she has a problem with me, sucks to suck.

"Oh I didn't know you guys actually got along."

I laughed. "Of course. Did you think I wasn't good enough for them too?"

"What?"

"Nothing. Just let's go home. We aren't coming to the beach until lunch." I snapped.

He shook his head and we walked back in complete, utter silence.

Well he had to go and ruin everything.

I feel as if my heart is shattering a bit every time he is a rude ass to me.

I know he doesn't even like me and he shouldn't. We just met. But somehow, some way, I ended up to be falling for Gabe Gordon.

He walked into his front door and I couldn't help but admire the way his muscles flexed when he pushed open the door and his hair tousled with the breeze.

Crap. I'm whipped.

I walked into my current home to be greeted by one of my newest friends, Kayla.

A/N: Short chapter I know. The next will be long again. I have just been busy lately and have been getting more school work. The teachers are already putting together study guides for our finals. Yay.
