Johnathan woke up with his hands and feet tied together and a gag in his mouth, he looked around the room to see Maggie and Carol sitting across from each other, both tied up in the same way that he was. Gunfire filled the air before it stopped. Johnathan and Maggie shared a confused look as Carol started to hyperventilate. The door across from Johnathan opened and three women and a man came in. "When's the last time anyone checked this place?" The redheaded woman asked.

"It was fine a month ago." The darker-haired woman told her as the redhead sat the guy down against the wall. He was hurt, which meant it would be a lot easier to kill them all and get the hell out of there. Johnathan hated how he was having to think, but the women would be easier to kill. And the man was injured and his injury could be fatal for all Johnathan knew. He would wait, until the time presented itself.

"Sweetie, that was a month ago. Shit hards quick." The older woman spoke up. "The guns have gone bye-bye, the food's gone bye-bye, and we got growlers up and down the halls."

"Means people can get through, too." The man stated. "Maybe we should get gone."

"Carol!" Maggie exclaimed although it was muffled. Johnathan leaned his head back against the wall. He had to make them think that he was weak so they wouldn't pay as much attention to him. And then when they weren't expecting it he would pick them off one by one.

"Yeah? Where the hell to?" The darker-haired woman asked the man.

"Nowhere." The redhead told her as she tried to make a makeshift tourniquet for the man who had a gunshot wound to his arm. "Got dead in the halls? Free security. Those assholes get here before our people, the cold bloods will buy us some time." She looked toward Carol. "Shut up."

"Jesus, it's bleeding. It's not supposed to keep bleeding." The man breathed out.

The redhead looked toward the older woman. "Molly, give me the rope."

"I'm not losing it." The man told her. "I'm not."

"So you grind it out. Jesus, Donnie." The darker-haired woman told him harshly.

"Screw you, 'Chelle!" Donnie exclaimed. "We have to get him back. He can fix it. We have to, Paula."

"No." The redhead, Paula, responded. "I saw them, you didn't. They took the place down, they got the guns, they'll kill us, too."

"Hey!" Maggie exclaimed, her voice being muffled once more.

"I'm not going down like that, not after making it this far." Paula continued, ignoring Maggie. Maggie tried to say something again, but it was muffled. Paula turned to her before standing up, pulling the gag from her mouth. "What?"

Maggie motioned to Carol. "She's hyperventilating. Somebody needs to take her gag off."

Paula looked at Carol before turning to Molly. Molly moved towards Carol. "She's a nervous little bird, ain't she?" No. Johnathan wanted to say. She knows what shes doing. But he was still gagged and so far they weren't paying him any attention. He wanted to keep it that way for the moment. Molly pulled the gag off of Carol.

Chelle went over and aimed a pistol at Carol. "Look at you. Bitch, how did you make it this far?"

"Honey, you need to take some yoga breaths and calm your ass down," Molly told Carol, reaching into Carol's pocket and pulling out rosary beads which she handed to Carol. Carol seemed to calm down as she held the beads. "Oh. You're one of those."

Maggie and Johnathan looked at each other, utterly confused. Johnathan knew though, Carol had a plan of her own. Carol wasn't a weak little bird anymore, and he had seen that change start the moment she put a pickaxe into her abusers head. And while they were all focused on Carol Johnathan grabbed the small pocket knife from his boot before he flipped it open, slowly cutting the duct tape, watching everyone as he did so. "What are you so afraid of?" Paula asked Carol. "Are you actually afraid to die?" Paula scoffed. "All this and you're scared of getting your ticket punched."

"It doesn't matter what happens to me," Carol spoke up. "Just don't hurt Maggie. Don't hurt the baby."

Chelle turned to Maggie, aiming her pistol at her. "Yeah, right."

"She got a bun in the oven, she doesn't look it," Donnie spoke up.

"I'm only two months, I think," Maggie told them.

"You're some kind of stupid, getting knocked up at a time like this," Paula told her. Maggie scoffed. "You think that's funny?"

"When was it ever smart to get knocked up?" Maggie asked. "Women used to just die in childbirth." The duct tape around Johnathan's ankles broke apart, and he brought the knife up, slowly cutting at the tape around his wrists. "And they always thought the world was gonna end. Living through it, why would you just give up?"

"But are you gonna live through it?" Paula questioned her. "Anyway, that's cute. Babies are the point. Children are our future. Making bite-size snacks for the dead. The point is to stay standing."

"No." Maggie disagreed, glancing at Johnathan as he pulled the duct tape from his hands and legs. "Walkers do that." Johnathan stood, darting to the door and running.

"Shit!" He heard Paula exclaim before he heard footsteps. "You're not gonna make it out there!"

He moved through the halls quickly, stabbing walkers in the head as he moved. He had been roaming around the building for a while, and eventually, he found them when gunshots started going off. He went up behind Paula, sliding his knife across her throat before stabbing her in the head.

He heard Maggie and Chelle fighting, Johnathan grabbed Paula's gun before aiming it at Chelle's head, pulling the trigger.

After that Maggie, Carol, and Johnathan led the people who were coming for Molly, Paula, Donnie, and Chelle into a room before setting fire to it and locking them inside. They went back to the small group of walkers and killed them before they walked out of the building, coming face to face with the rest of their group.
