Johnathan woke up when the sky had darkened ever so slightly, and he took his chance when no one was looking and took off running through the woods. He heard whistling echoing all around him, and he didn't even slow down as he got his hands out of the binds that they were in and pulled the gag off. He picked up his pace as he heard leaves crunching behind him. The road was in his line of sight. He ran out into the road, tensing as he stared at a RV. Tires screeched as the RV pulled to a stop, and when Johnathan snapped out of it he could see familiar faces looking at him through the windshield.
The RV door opened and Beth stepped out, hurrying over to Johnathan who was covered in dirt, and leaves. There were bruises forming around his wrists, and there was blood and dirt caked on his forehead where he was hit. Beth pulled him into a tight hug, Johnathan slowly wrapping his arms around her. "I'm okay." Johnathan assured her softly. "I'm okay."
Beth led Johnathan into the RV, which immediately started up again and got a cloth wet, wiping around the wound on Johnathans forehead. Johnathan swatted at Beths hand as she wiped with pressure, but she just grabbed his head and angled it towards the light so she could clean the wound better. Johnathan sighed, letting her clean his forehead. He knew better than to fuss about it. Beth was a lot like Hershel and Maggie, too stubborn for her own good, but she was also kind and loving. And once Beth put her mind up to something, there was no stopping her.
The RV pulled to a stop, Beth letting John go glance out of the windshield. Carl passed him a rifle and Johnathan kissed Beth's forehead before he was stepping out of the RV behind Rick and Abraham. Aaron, Eugene, and Carl behind him. "He's someone who was with a whole lot of someones who didn't listen." The man in the front told the man that he had on the ground.
"We can make a deal." Rick spoke, his hands in the air, but his rifle still in his grasp. "Right here, right now."
"That's right, we can." The man agreed. "Give us all your stuff. We'll probably have to kill one of you. That's just the way it is, but then we can start moving forward on business. All you have to do is listen."
