Two days have passed since Lucius and Paimon returned from Enkanomiya. Surprisingly, the two decided to rest up for the time being, instead of doing commissions to pass the time.
Right now, Lucius is walking through the marketplace by himself, as Paimon decided to give him some alone time to relax and wander.
Lucius: (sigh) It does feel weird not having Paimon around. She's been by my side for months now, and I'm so used to her rambling sometimes.
All of a sudden, Lucius could feel someone's gaze as he looks around, trying to find who's staring at him.
Lucius: Who is...
His eyes then find a familiar short member of the Shuumatsuban.
Lucius: Sayu?
Sayu: ...!
Sayu jumps upon making eye contact as she runs away.
Lucius: Hey wait!
His call falls on deaf ears as Sayu runs away.
Lucius: ("Why was she running around here?")
Lucius wonders as he follows after her.
At the back of the general goods store near the police station, Lucius comes across a couple of box crates scattered around.
Lucius: ("Where could she have gone?")
As his eyes wander around, his attention then comes to a barrel with a tail sticking out.
Lucius: ("Ah...")
He approaches the strange barrel and smacks the top of it.
*SMACK*
Sayu: Ow!
*POOF*
The barrel transforms back into Sayu, who rubs her head.
Sayu: Aw, you saw right through my disguise... Odd... Even the shrine maiden often struggles to find me.
Lucius: Well, if your tail wasn't sticking out...
Sayu: Huh? My tail was sticking out!? (sigh) I must have been too nervous and failed to fully utilize my ninjutsu technique. So, uh, what do you need?
Lucius: No, what do you need? You were looking for me just now.
Sayu: Well, uh... I heard that Shimura's added a delicious new dish to their menu. And Yae Publishing House has some good light novels... Oh, and a dip in Aisa Bathhouse is always nice. So uh, you know...
Lucius: What's the real reason, Sayu?
Sayu: No really, I'm not up to anything. I'm just a little tired and thought I could use a good nap. I'll be going now. Don't bother chasing me again, you won't be able to catch me anyway.
Lucius: Hm, perhaps I'll tell Ayaka that I ran into you. Or maybe I could chat with the shrine maiden.
Sayu: Oh no, anything but that!
Sayu says while grabbing onto Lucius' arm.
Sayu: (sigh) You're just as difficult as the shrine maiden. C'mon just let me go, would you.
Lucius: Then I expect you to answer honestly.
Sayu: Oh, fine. But if I tell you the truth, I don't wanna hear any complaints, no matter how crazy the truth may seem.
