Volkov stands before a grand wooden door at the end of the second story hallway. He gazes up and down the door before taking in a deep breath and twists the handle of the door open. Volkov steps into the study to see his father staring out a massive decorative window that gave view to the skyline of the downtown metro of the capitol; his arms were crossed behind his back.

Volkov shuts the door behind him as he stepped further into the study.

"You... wanted to speak to me, father?" Volkov then asked before cupping his wrist inside his own hand behind his back.

"Yes.. Take a seat." His father replies as he continues to stare out towards the downtown skyline.

Volkov steps even further into the study and takes a seat into one of the recliners in front of the desk of the study, the leather creaking as he sat upon it.

Volkov and his father remain silent for a moment before his father breaks the silence with a soft sigh and turns his body around towards Volkov.

"I told Zeus not to say anything until you arrived here..." Mr. Romangrad began to speak before strolling over around the corner of his study desk. "I assume you have figured out why I sent Zeus to find you?" Mr. Romangrad then asks.

Volkov nods. "You want me to enlist in the Nation's Army..."

Mr. Romangrad let out another soft sigh before turning his gaze back out the window. "You were always insightful, Volkov. You get that from your mother, although she insists you get it from me." Mr. Romangrad says before turning his body back around to his son. "I will let you in on a family secret, Volkov." His father says before strolling over to the closet of the study.

Volkovs' ears perk up curiously as he watches his father open the closet and punch in a code for a tall wall safe.

"Our family did not just go on diplomatic missions to imperial Russia." Mr. Romangrad says as he opened the safe and takes out  a long metal case from within the safe.

Volkovs' eyes widen as he watched his father return to the desk and places the case down upon the desk.

"Our family also lived in Saint Petersburg for generations..." Mr. Romangrad says as unlatches the locks to the case and pops open the case. Volkov watches his father and he reached inside the case to reveal a Mosin Nagant rifle. Volkov sits up in his seat in surprise.

"Many of our ancestors also served in the White Army... But as the revolution became more radical and violent towards the end of the war, our family fled and returned to the home country." Mr. Romangrad says, running his hand up and down the wood of the rifle. The wood and iron of the rifle was designed and engraved.

"This rifle is a symbol of our diplomatic and military heritage. It was passed down through our family from your great-great grandfather all the way to me. I used this rifle when I served in the Nation's Army. And now... I pass it onto you." Mr. Romangrad says, holding the rifle out towards Volkov.

Volkov stands up in his seat and takes the rifle in his hands, gazing at the weapon in awe.

"Father, I... I do not know what to say..." Volkov softly says as he inspected the engravings of the rifle.

"I want you to enlist." Mr. Romangrad then says as he places his wrists behind his back. "You are incredibly astute, Volkov. Our nation needs all the help it can get during this crisis..." Mr. Romangrad says before turning his body back towards the window.

Volkov kept admiring the rifle, running his fingers over the engravings.

"I cannot tell you what to do..." Mr. Romangrad continues. "But if you decide to enlist, I want you to use that rifle. Along with that, I will give a personal recommendation to General Koda himself to place you in the Special Task Force." Volkovs' father then says before turning his gaze back over his shoulder to Volkov.
