Dawn had risen as the truck sped down the empty interstate. Both Benjamin and Amaria gazed out behind the truck bed, gazing around at the surrounding forests that were separated by the massive road. The wind whipped past the two as the air flooded back into the truck bed, causing Amarias' fur and Benjamins' hair to flutter in the wind. Amaria lifts up her head and tilts her chin up, feeling the wind blow through her fur. Benjamin looked over to her and chuckled.
"Having fun?" He asked, placing his hand under his chin.
Amaria giggled. "Yeah, it feels great. You should give it a try." She replied, keeping her eyes closed as she tilted her head side to side.
"You aren't bothered by the cold?" He then asked.
"Not anymore." She answered, bringing her chin back down and turns her head to Benjamin, opening her eyes and scoots closer to him before placing her head upon his shoulder. "I'll always have you to keep me warm."
Benjamin smiles warmly to Amaria, placing his arm around Amaria's frame. "You're too sweet, love."
Amaria giggles, wrapping her arms around Benjamin's torso.
"Hey, Romeo and Juliet. We're arriving." Zeus calls out from the truck cabin.
Amaria shoots her head back and crawls over to the truck bed window, peering out through the window and through the windshield.
"Woah..." Amaria says in awe, seeing the high rises of buildings on the horizon. Benjamin gently presses himself against Amaria from behind, peering over her shoulder.
"Just as I remember it..." Benjamin says, watching as the skyscrapers came closer and closer.
Volkov chuckles to himself. "I had thought I would never see it again."
Zeus adjusts himself in his seat. "I'm ready to finally get off my ass."
Eventually, the truck arrives in the outskirts of the capitol. As the interstate rises into an interchange, a greater view of the grand city presented itself. The high rises seemed to move with the hills of the land, some even seeming to rise from out of the ground itself. Miles of commercial and residential zones surrounded the metropolitan of the grand city that rested on the banks of a mighty and vast lake. Amaria gazed around in awe. She then spots a massive structure far off in the distance. It appeared to be the husk of a titanic spacecraft.
"Wait... could that be?" She gasps out softly, her eyes widen in awe.
Volkov smirks to himself. "Yep. The World Embassy, the National Amarok Museum of History and Science, and the Grand Mall of The World. All encased inside the husk of the ancestral mother ship." Volkov answers.
"It looks even bigger than I remember." Benjamin says, gazing at the colossal structure in the distance.
"Well, you'll all have time to sight see later. Our first stop is the Romangrad residence to drop you three off. As far as I'm concerned, this is a completed job." Zeus says, navigating through the complicated interchange. He finally makes a turn and begins to drive down an entry ramp, merging with a freeway that led through the metro and towards one of the residential districts of the capital. Benjamin and Amaria gaze out through the tinted windows of the truck bed, observing all the high rises of commercial, office, and apartment buildings that stood by the freeway. On the other side, miles of homes moved with the land.
"This city is so amazing." Amaria says.
"You can say that again." Benjamin replied, scanning the sea of homes.
After a while, Zeus exited the freeway and begins to drive down a boulevard of a residential district. Zeus then makes a left turn and approaches the gates of a community. He brings the truck to a slow halt outside the gate and leans out the driver window, punching in the code for the gate. After a second, the massive gates of the community slowly creaked open as Zeus begins to drive forward and into the neighborhood. Amaria and Benjamin observe in awe as they passed through, captivated by the grand two-story homes. Each house seemed to be unique, designed with a different architectural style.
