Amaria yawned out as she stood by Benjamin, stretching and gazing around the empty parking garage. The group had drove throughout the night and finally stopped in a town in the Amarok protectorate. Volkov closed the passenger door of the car, the sound of the door shutting reverberated throughout the concrete structure. Zeus follows suit, adjusting his jacket that concealed his body armor.
Amaria groaned out tiredly, stretching out her arms. "Where even are we?"
"Denahi. An anthro founded merchant town." Zeus replies, closing his door behind him as he stepped out of his truck.
"Merchant town, huh? Seems like there is stuff to do." Benjamin says.
"Don't get carried away, Benny boy. This is just a pit stop." Zeus says before making his way through the garage.
Benjamin rolls his eyes and follows behind Zeus, Amaria following close behind him. Volkov follows as well, stuffing his hands into his pockets.
"So, who wants breakfast?" Zeus asks, turning on his heel towards the three and walks backwards.
Amaria's ears perk up. "Ooh, I could go for a fat stack of pancakes right now." Amaria answers, her tone from sleepy to cheery.
"I think we all could." Benjamin answers, a smile running across his face.
"I second that notion." Volkov answers.
"Rodger that. I'll show you guys this diner that's in town. I actually discovered it on my way to come get you guys." Zeus responds, turning back on his heel.
After about ten minutes of walking through the early hours of the town, the group approach the front doors of the diner. From the outside, the diner had the architecture of some kind of old movie theatre.
"This is a diner?" Benjamin asks, looking around the outside.
"Of course it is. It's themed after those small-town movie joints." Zeus answered before reaching for the double doors and stepping inside. Volkov followed behind.
Amaria then wraps her arm around Benjamin's and looks up to him. "Ten bucks says I can eat more pancakes than you." She says, smirking at him.
Benjamin chuckles. "You're so on."
The two then step inside behind Zeus and Volkov. Movie scores played over the sound speakers of the diner as movie posters and memorabilia decorated the walls. Neon lights lined the walls that had separated the different dining rooms of the diner. Scattered around the diner, anthros of various species sit in booths and tables, eating their meals and conversing with each other.
Benjamin looked around in awe. He'd never seen such a unique diner before.
After awhile, an anthro feline hostess dressed in an usher uniform and carrying leather menus approaches the group.
"Hello, welcome to Cobb's Diner. How many?" She cheerfully asks, her tail flicking behind her.
"Four." Zeus replies.
The hostess then shot a glare over to Benjamin. Her eyes widened and grew weary, as if bewildered a bit to see a human of his complexion.
"Booth or table?" The hostess then asked, regaining her composure and looks back over to Zeus and Volkov.
"Booth, please." Volkov answers.
"Awesome. If you could follow me." The hostess says, turning on her heel and advances into the diner.
Eventually, the group arrive at a booth. The hostess places the menus down upon the table and steps back.
"I'll be back in a moment to take your orders." The hostess says with a wide grin.
