We all walked onto the training ground. some of my peers started talking with each other, all complimenting each other or going over the excitement for today. I tried to stand off to the side. I was nervous yet still a little excited for the training today, but i wasnt feeling to up to socializing. Especially with the conversation for lunch still trying to linger in my head. I sighed and wrapped my arms around my chest out of habit, zoning into my own world. Suddenly All Might spoke up, drawing me out of my head. He went over what the training would be- we would draw lots to decide teams, and then the teams would randomly be selected to be either villain or heros in a simulation. There would be one team with an extra person due to the number of students in the class. We all drew our teams. I was on a team with Tokoyami and Tsu. Then came time time for the first round. All Might called the teams and my stomach dropped. Uraraka and Izuku would be the heros, while Iida and Kacchan would be the villains. I was dreading watching this- my two childhood friends who were each other's rival were pinned against each other. I knew Kacchan wouldn't hold back, but I also knew Izuku studied every hero he could so he probably had a game plan. I walked with my class to the observation room, silently hoping for this to not turn into a literal blood bath. I was standing in the back fixing my utility belt's tightness and positioning when I noticed Todoroki walk over.

"Hello (y/n)," he said in his usual calm tone.

"Oh..h-hey Todoroki," I shyly smiled. His different colored eyes were were so beautiful and alluring. It felt like they were looking straight into my soul.

"I wanted to give you this earlier," he spoke softly while pulling a small folded piece of paper out of his pocket. "You can text me whenever." I felt my cheeks instantly heat up with a blush realizing he was giving me his number. Was... was he flirting in a way? I gently grabbed the paper and placed it in a pocket of my belt to keep it safe.

"Th-thank you Todoroki. I can message you later so you can save my number." He nodded, accepting my response. I then realized he deliberately did this now instead of later so Kacchan wouldn't see and flip out. He walked back to the students who hadn't even seemed to notice us. I slowly walked up and stood behind most of the others. All Might declared the match to start.

I stood frozen in place as I watched Izuku and Kacchan's fight. it was so hard to see my two friends from my early years rage against each other so heavily. I didn't know either had become so strong, and it made me feel so left behind. As the fight came to an end and Izuku was wheeled off to Recovery Girl's room, a very worked up Kacchan, a nauseas Uraraka, and an unscathed Iida entered to go over the results. Yaoyorozu, who had recently told me i could simply call her Momo, explained that Iida was the winner of the training trail because of his level headed thinking. As the next team started i glanced over at Kacchan. He didn't look like his usual self. He looked panicked, unsteady even. I started to walk over to him to talk, but i saw he had his fist clenched and was shaking. I quickly decided against trying to comfort him right now. He needed space. I put my focus back onto the monitors as the next groups started. It happened so fast, but Todoroki basically dominated the entire round single handedly. It was... amazing. but also slightly frightening at how much power he had. Each team went after, everyone giving their all. My team was victorious in securing the "weapon" in our trail. I acted as a decoy in the fight with Tokoyami as Tsu snuck around unnoticed, thus being able to touch the "rocket" rather quickly. At the end of the whole training lesson All Might congratulated us all on a job well done. As we all walked back to the locker rooms everyone was talking about how much fun it was, especially after how Mr Aizawa's quirk assessment had rattled our nerves at first. Well... everyone except Kacchan. He trailed behind a few paces. I was worried. Maybe I should check on him later. After we changed back into our uniforms, we headed back to class. There wasn't much of the day left, so we were socializing more than anything, until Kacchan decided to up and leave. His angry aura quickly snapped me out of my conversation with Mina and a red haired boy named Kirishima.
