Chapter 6. The Negotiation

In Elijah's apartment, I am standing wearing a suit, looking at the mirror while Elijah helped me to wear my coat "I look like an assistant in a bank"

"I'd say like my female version"

I smile "I have to meet Mrs. Lockwood, see ya there" I walk out of the apartment.

Elijah vamp speed following me with a bag "Your bag"

I take it "Oh lord" smile "I forget"

"Focus, Lydia"

"I'm" he looks at the bag "I will make you proud" I turn to go downstairs but I turn to face him "Why are you going to follow me not coming with me?"

"I have work to do"

I smile "fine, Bye" I head downstairs.

In Lockwood's yard, I'm standing in front the mansion door, I knock on the door. Mrs. Lockwood opens the door with a smile "Good Morning, Mrs. Lockwood"

Mrs. Lockwood greets me "Good morning, Ms. Andrews, Right?" 

I nod smiling as I enter the mansion, shake hands "Yes, Lydia Andrews"

"Please call me Carol" we head to the office, and she points at the chair "Please sit down" she sits

I sit "Thanks, you can call me Lydia, First of all thanks very much to help me"

"Please, Thank me after finishing your research," she asks "What kind of research?"

"Historical, I was supposed to meet aa umm Mrs. Gilbert If I'm right six months ago but I got busy with a family problem"

"Miranda Gilbert, I see" sigh "We lost her in a tragic accident months ago"

I say "Oh I'm sorry" sigh "I didn't know"

Carol says "I can still help you, actually, not me her sister in town, Ms. Sommers, she can help you"

I smile "Great" 

Elijah enters the room with his perfect smile "Good morning"

We stand, and he came walking toward me "Carol, this is Elijah"

Elijah put his hand around my waist, I look at him nervously, he shakes her hand "Elijah Smith"

I smile "He is my partner in researcher" 

Elijah says "I'm her fiancé too" I widen my eyes "Pleasure meeting you, Mrs. Lockwood"

Carol says "Pleasure meeting you too, I will get us coffee, excuse me"
