Chapter 32. Commitment

To make it... really make it as a surgeon, it takes major commitment. We have to be willing to pick up that scalpel that may or may not do more damage than good. It's all about being committed. Cause if we're not, we have no business picking up that scalpel in the first place.

Cristina stands at the OR board "We'll book OR 2 tomorrow at 10. Usual scrub team. And get rid of his valve replacement at 2, that's no good."

Intern says "Yang. Brought you a mocha latte."

"You're not scrubbing in."

"But Burke always lets me scrub it."

Another intern approaches them "Hey, Yang can I get in on..."

Cristina says "No, no residents. Too crowded. Go away" To a nurse "Make sure you put the instrument tray on his left hand side. He needs the elbow room. And OR 2, no gallery. Burke was specific."

Nurse says "Dr. Burke has become very specific since coming back to work, hasn't he?"

Cristina gives her a look "Do you want me to tell him you said that?"

George is looking on from above with Meredith, me, and Alex. George says "Burke's back and suddenly Christina's running his board. Who does she think she is, Bailey?"

Meredith says "She's helping him."

Alex says "She's taking advantage. She gets out of rounds, she scrubs in on every surgery Burke does, she's ordered around 3'rd year residents..."

Meredith says "You're overreacting..."

I say "No, he isn't, we are her friends but why the hell can't you see that, Mer"

Cristina grabs the pen from the nurse's hand and starts writing on the board.

George says "She's writing on the board!"

Alex says "Maybe I should sleep with Burke..."

I turn to him and raise my eyebrow.

At the Nurse station, I approach Elijah who sitting at it "You've been busy"

Elijah says "I am sorry, Dr. Blossom"

"Sorry umm this chart you should sign" He takes it and sign then left me alone. I turn following him "Hey, talk to me. And how about talking to me instead of ignoring me? If we are co-workers we should talk"

"No! Take it as an answer"

Outside the hospital, I talk with Jade crying "I miss him, Jade. He is in front of me and I can't be with him"

Jade on the phone "Lydia use it, please. To keep both of you safe" I sigh wiping my tears "I know he is the only man you loved but wait until we figure out something to help you, I have a witch to meet, I will call you back"

"Fine" I hung up.

Alex approaches me and sits "I never saw you crying"
