Chapter 34. Wait

As doctors, we know everybody's secrets. Their medical histories, sexual histories, confidential information that is as essential to a surgeon as a 10-blade. And every bit as dangerous. We keep secrets. We have to. But not all secrets can be kept.

It's dawn, at Meredith's house, I and Cristina arrive. I am holding a card and we run upstairs to her room. As we approach the room we hear Derek and Meredith talking... Derek says "I want sex."

Meredith says "There will be no sex."

Cristina opens the door, and Cristina and I burst our heads. Meredith sits on Derek's lap. Cristina asks "Are we interrupting sex?"

Derek says "No."

Cristina says "Good."

I say "Get out."

Derek gives us a look "What? You can't ask me to leave."

I move toward the bed "Elijah doesn't give me sex so no sex for you. Get out"

Cristina says "Meredith..."

I smile "Derek, please"

Meredith says "Give us a sec." 

Cristina jumps on the bed next to Meredith.

Derek says "When I get back there better be some sex."

I push him out "Tell your friend to give me some and I will beg her to give you some" I close the door and go to the bed jumping next to Meredith.

Meredith asks "Why are you all sweaty and ick?"

Cristina says "I jogged here and called her."

I say "Yes, and I was heading to Alex but she was freaking, wait you were jogged??"

Meredith says "You don't jog. Cristina..."

Cristina says "What if Derek or Elijah robbed a bank?"

Meredith and I wonder "What?"

Cristina says "Say Derek or Elijah was robbing a bank...and while he was in there, you were waiting outside, cause it was your job to drive the getaway car."

Meredith asks "Why would Derek rob a bank?"

I say "Elijah can chock someone to death not rob"

Cristina says "Just go with me here."

Meredith says "Okay, Derek's robbing a bank."

I nod "Elijah do too"

Cristina says "And they get caught. And no one knows you were involved, cause you were driving the car."

Meredith says "Okay, Derek's in jail, I'm in the mystery car."

I lay back "What's the question?"

Cristina says "Would you turn yourself in? Or would you stay quiet and let them go down for a robbery in which you were a complicit participant? Or would you stand by him?"

Meredith says "Well... whose idea was it to rob the bank?"

"I don't know...his! But you helped. I mean could you live with yourself if you walked away and let the man you love take the fall?"

"If you tell me, maybe I can help. If you tell me..."

I say "Wait, If Elijah robbed that bank, Of course, I would get him out by sneaking but if I can't, I will go and say I am with him, I can't leave him in trouble"

Cristina nods "Why you were freaking out when I called"

"Elijah asked me on a date" I sigh" I open the mailbox and found a card, and want to wear a dress, All my clothes are whore clothes" I open the card and start to read it: Belle, May I have the pleasure of your company this evening?
