Chapter 33. Fix It

As surgeons we're trained to look for disease. Most of the time, we need to go step by step. First, probing the surface, looking for any sign of trouble. A mole or a lesion, or an unwelcome lump. Most of the time, we can't tell what's wrong with somebody just by looking at them. After all, they can look perfectly fine on the outside, while their insides tell us a whole different story.

In the break room, Callie and I sitting together. Callie says "He still avoiding you"

"Yes, It's okay"

"You just dumped him"

"Yes, he dumbed me first"

Callie raises her eyebrow "And he came across the country for you"

Addison gets in "Hey"

We smile "Hey"

Addison sits "You are my serves today, Lydia"

"I am in Addi"

Callie confused "Addi"

We laugh and I say "We know each other since New York"

Addison nods. Mark enters and stares at the three of us. Callie, I, Mark, and Addison have an exchange of glances as Mark gets coffee.

We walk in the hallway together and Meredith says "Derek's camping. Taking time, getting space, and guess what he takes McNoble."

I say "Wow, Elijah loves Bambi now"

Cristina says "Prestons do not go into the woods. A guy named Preston is going to get his ass kicked by a squirrel."

Izzie says "It's basically a slumber party. We do it inside, they do it outside. That's the only difference."

Mark approaches us "Have you seen what's his face?"

Izzie says "Alex Karev."

Mark says "Poor bastard seems to get a thrill out of tagging along after me."

I cross my arms to my chest "He is not poor bastard, Mark"

"Okay guardian angel"

Meredith says "He's camping."

"Well in that case how would you like to get a thrill out of tagging along after me?"

"Dr. Bailey makes the assignments."

Bailey walks behind us "Dr. Bailey says it's fine. Go" Meredith walks off with Mark "Stephens conference room. You're spending the day with your peer counselor."

Izzie says "Is that a shrink? The hospital is already making me see a shrink."

"Stephens, go meet your peer. Get counseled. Exciting procedures on the board today Yang."

Cristina says "Yes, Dr. Bailey... which one would you like me to start with?"
