OCC 18 : After Coma

What am I doing in here? What do I gain? Why am I stuck in my own body and can't move?

I replayed all the things happened and figured that I was in an accident. I also found out that I'm in a coma and can't move. I heard a lot of visitors and asked me to wake up but the only people who I heard the sincerity in their voices are Zary and... Uh... Cades.

I also found out that Cades was there for me through thick or thin. I don't know how I got the coma but I'm sure it's because of the collision of my head and the interior of the car.

Few days after the operation, I managed to open my eyes. Yes, Hail the Lord.

As I open my eyes, I found out that Cades is sleeping on the hospital table just beside the glass window. There's a Mac book located on the table and I guess she's writing something.

Though I didn't have a better look at it, I bet it's important for her to stay up late. I also managed to move my head to the side and saw a letter on the lamp table. There's a signature of Cades on top and it indicates that the letter is for me.

After those sleepless nights, I finally closed my eyes. This time I didn't have the strength to open them again. I was surprised that Zary came over and talked to me.

"Topher, About what I said before... Please, I know it hurts you when I confess my feelings but please just wake up. We need you. The world needs Trophy Paxton." Trophy...

"Look, Wake up or else Cades will be gone. I saw her determination to wait for you. Besides, The lady likes you... Wait, She loves you. She doesn't want you gone. Just wake up or show her some sign that you are alive."

I laughed mentally but then what caught me is that Cades likes me. That she loves me. I was scared that maybe my feelings for her won't reciprocate.

"I'll go now. Cades thought that you still like me. I was shocked because I saw how you look at her. It's not me you like, It's her. Maybe she was just being paranoid or something. Okay, My times up..." She held my hand "I'll be back."

After Zary talking to me, All I can remember is Cades' words. That time, I had a hard time hearing her words because all I can feel is the stirring that is happening in my mind.

"Topher, Please stay... I promise I'll never get in your way again... Just stay..."

That's when I passed out. I never wanted her to go. This is not in my plans. I want to be with her.

"Topher wake up or Ill kiss you." These words made me conscious about my surroundings. I'm still in coma but I can now hear her words.

"Topher..."

Suddenly, I started hearing her giving up. No, please don't give up on me.

She asked to give her a sign that I'm still alive. I tried to move. I tried to move all my body parts and whatsoever but I still can't.

My eyes suddenly squinted open and I was glad that I am now awake. I looked at the blurry sight but was saddened when I found out that Cades is already walking away.

No... Stay Cades.. I'm awake...

I saw her, by my peripheral view, that she went out of the room. Together with all her stuff. God, Why did she give up on me? I was about to give her a sign but she just walked out?

"Cades, I'm here..." I whispered but I can feel my throat dry. Ugh, I should really sit up.

Oh wait, I can't feel my body yet.

My eyes started to drop and all I could do is sleep my ass off.

I woke up and then was surprised to see all my family members in the room. I don't know what the hell happened but I saw my niece and nephews being so tall. How many days did I sleep? Years? Seven years?

I felt my mouth dry as I try to speak.

"Oh my God!" My mom exclaimed. "He's awake!"

"Hi uncle Topher!" Louise my nephew greeted. I'm guessing that he's already seven because lat I saw him, he was four.

"Hi mom, Hi all." I happily smiled at them. I tried to move my head around the room to look for Cades but she's nowhere to be found.

"What year is it?" That was the thing that I asked. I had to make sure that I'm on track of time.

"2019, Dear. You really slept for like... 4 straight years. Don't you know today is your birthday?" Oh, That's why all of them are here.

I sat up, Glad that I can actually move everything. Louise handed me a glass of water and I drank it to keep my mouth from being dry.

"Thank you for celebrating but can I ask where Cades is?" I didn't know why they all felt silent with what I said because as soon as I spit out the name Cades, All of them are still like ice. "Don't tell me she's dead?"

Mom immediately came towards me, "Of course not, She's not dead.. She's just really far away."

"Can I call her?"

"She asked not to disturb her. Actually, She's already working out of the country. Taking photos and all. Today, There is a wedding and she's really a professional photographer. I bet she'll be home tomorrow for her book party."

"Book party?"

"She wrote a book. I'm glad that everyone is reading her book. I read her book..."

"Wait wait mom, Slow down. Tell me everything that happened after Cades left me."

"You know she left?"

"I was awake but she didn't know."

"Okay fine. You call all eat now." Mom announced.

"Mom? What happened?"

"It all started..."
