"I don't think you should trust this Light guy." You tell the squealing blonde model. Floating around the room with your large F/C wings, your warning goes unheard.
"What are you talking about? I think he's so trustable, especially with that handsome face of his? Did you know his name translates to moon but is pronounced as Light?!" Misa's fangirling makes you sigh, already knowing the symptoms of what kills a Shinigami such as yourself.
"Don't you want to reconsider your agreement? You gave him your death note, what's stopping him from killing you?" You try one more time, already too attached to the young girl to let her dive to her demise too soon.
Pausing after spinning the room, Misa looked at you with wide puppy eyes, trying to convince you. "Light is my knight! I know he won't kill me. I'm too valuable. Can't you agree with me?"
Sensing your hesitation, she says, "Pretty please?"
"Misa."
"With a cherry on top?"
Unable to resist her pout, you cave in, even while knowing what will happen.
"Very well."

"Hush Misa, he never deserved you."
Your words of sympathy caused the sobbing girl to wrap onto you tighter. Wincing slightly at her tight grip, you pat her head.
What had you gotten yourself into?
A mighty killer from the Shinigami realm consoling a crying human? If Ryuk had seen this too, his guffaws wouldn't have stopped.
"You- you were right!" Misa wailed, laying her head on your bandaged chest.
"I was." You answered bluntly.
When her sobs had finally faded away, she looked up to meet your eyes. "You, you won't leave me too, right?"
Her tone and voice were innocent but you sensed that you were signing yourself away.
"Oh, Misa." You wiped her tears away. "I won't."
"That's right." Her cries have fully faded away and she clutched onto you as if you were her lifeline despite being a Shinigami. "I won't let you."
You weren't able to keep your promise.
But little did you know, Misa would only follow you into the Shinigami realm.
You forgot your promise.
But she hasn't.
