So, basically, in layman terms.

You were screwed.

"My love for you is unrivalled to no ones, please, accept it."

Kinda funny Light is asking you with a please when you were currently locked in his room after being kidnapped.

One would think that the time for niceties and pleasantries was long over.

You stayed silent, pretending he doesn't exist.

"Y/N, don't ignore me." A threatening tone was in his voice but you didn't listen, refusing to speak a word. "I can kill your family in a second, don't forget that."

You rolled your eyes at his weak threats and the god-wannabe fumed. Why couldn't you just behave and see that he was perfect for you?

"We'll see if you still have an attitude when you see your family die in front of you." He said in an oddly calm fashion.

He then left the room, not bothering to close the door fully. The Yagami family were out so he didn't have to worry about Sayu stumbling onto you or his police chief father finding out that his son is a criminal.

Staring intently at the slightly ajar door, it moved slightly, almost teasing you at the freedom you won't achieve.

This won't do, you thought furiously. How come Light gets to dictate your future?

Still tied to the chair, you wiggle your arms against the tight bounds, trying to slip out. The coarse rope burned against your arms and it agitated your skin. However, your attempt was a failure and you slumped back in your seat prison.

You tried a different approach. Focusing all your energy in your feet, you jumped up with the chair still attached and miraculously landed perfectly fine a few inches in front of where you previously were.

Yes, that worked! You mentally cheered and prepared to do that again. Albeit dangerous, it was the only thing you could think of to do.

Hopping weirdly mechanically and praying (not to Light lmao) you don't fall down, you make it close to the door. At this point, your feet were hurting from placing your entire weight upon them so when you finally made it, you couldn't help but break a sweat.

Now the hard part, opening the door itself.

How are you going to open it without your hands handy?

Moving your hips sharply to the left, you got the chair to move parallel to the door with your hands resting on the doorknob.

"Come on..." You murmured anxiously, twisting the doorknob, applying your body weight on it.

The door opened outwards and before you realized it, the chair was tipping backwards. With no time to react, you fall harshly to the floor, yelping in pain.

You groaned, the side of your face pressed to the cold floor. Just then, as if it couldn't get worse, you hear the sound of a door being slammed open and you realize that Light had come back early.

"Y/N, I swear if I see you trying to escape, you'll be punished."

What are you going to do?!

Heavy footsteps echoed around the house and you couldn't make up your mind about what to do.

Looking at the stairs, you then make a hasty, compulsive, impulsive split second decision that you probably should've learned from the 9th oneshot.

Just as you see Light at the foot of the stairs, you roll yourself to the edge of the staircase and upon seeing his surprised expression, you, with no hesitation, let gravity take over.
