I walked up towards the address that Miss said belonged to my grandparents and the others were making sure I didn't turn around and back out.
"I'm actually quite hungry. Maybe we come back after we eat." I told as I turned around, only for them to grab me and turn me back the right way.
"You can not back out of this girl." Alya told.
"Yeah dudette. Not every day you get to meet your grandparents for a second time." Nino added.
"They left my house after finding out mum died. I don't think there's a possibility of it getting better." I pointed out.
"You will be fine. I'm sure they just had to process everything." Mari pointed out.
"I suppose." I told before we neared their house and stopped in front of their somewhat tall gate. "Oh my god they live in my dream looking home."
"Your grandparents own the haunted house?" Nino asked confusing me."
"What?"
"It's supposedly haunted." Adrien told with a shrug.
"Story says, those that have entered have never returned." Alya informed before laughing maniacally.
"I hope my grandparents aren't actually cannibals."
"I'm positive it's just story's." Mari told to try and help comfort me.
"You know. It reminds me of the Mark Twain house." I pointed out making Alya search it up for them to look at it.
"Oh wow it really does look alike." She told as the others nodded in agreement.
"No more stalling." Adrien told making me nod..... before bolting away from the house.
I heard footsteps rushing after me, before I was grabbed and thrown over Adriens shoulders.
"You can't run from this babe."
"I surely can. I just need to untie your shoes before doing so again."
"This is important for you."
"The two have never been in my life. It took finding out my mother was besties with our teacher. That's straight up weird Adrien!"
"Still can't fight it."
"Fine. Just know, I'm not happy with any of this!"
"I know."
We met back up with the others and they held opened the gate, allowing us all to head in. I was only allowed to get off of Adrian's shoulders once we were at the door. I looked at the door for a few moments before turning around and got a thumbs up from the others, making me look back towards the door. I took a deep breath before ringing the bell that they had, and the eerie ringing played out like it belonged in some horror movie.
"That's it. We are entering a horror movie." Nino joked.
"We just have to follow horror movie rules and don't split up." I pointed out.
The door suddenly opened and we were shocked to see my grandmother had actually answered the door. Once she realised it was me, she also became shocked before changing to her more neutral look.
"Hey." I told as I gave an unsure wave.
"The youngest grandchild I didn't know about for many years."
"Uh. Yep." I told before she looked past me and saw the others.
"Friends of yours?"
"Also yes."
"We are about to enjoy a meat pie. Would you like some?"
"Sure."
"Come in then. All of you. And take off your shoes, we don't want mud in the house." She told before walking in and I gave the others a wtf look at how strange this is going.
'Man my family can be weird.'
